Proposed Rules
 

Heres the newest list of rules i've written up, but i've included rules for Police, too. I'm open to suggestions, tell me any additions/changes/etc you'd like to see, and i'll consider them.

Player rules
1) No excessive swearing

2) No obscenities

3) No jail PKing

4) No PKing staff on tag (including Events Team/Auctioneers)

5) Do not impersonate staff/other players. Impersonation will be determined by Police and/or an Administrator.

6) Harmful bug abuse can be a bannable offense (Harmful meaning it gives you any kind of unfair advantage, whether or not something is considered "Harmful" will be determined by Police/Administrator.

7) Use of trainers is a bannable offense, suspicious activity is logged, and you may be banned without hard evidence. USE YOUR BRAIN!

8) Please do not stalk other players. Whether or not what you're doing is considered stalking will be determined by Police and/or an Administrator.

9) Scamming of ANY KIND is prohibited. Logs may be used depending on the situation to determine whether or not somebody scammed another (in other words, don't make anything up). There is a possibility of a trial in Graalian Court to determine if a scam has taken place. All stolen/scammed items will be returned to their rightful owner.

10) Please do not interrupt trades.

11) Please do not interrupt events. You may be removed from an event upon an Event Team member's request. If you feel you were treated unfairly by an ET, report it to the Events Admin, NOT the Police Chief.

12) All other rules in the Code of Conduct are practiced here, so please obey!

13) Please do not harrass other players. Whether or not something is considered harrassment will be determined by a Police and/or Administrator.

14) Don't attempt to avoid the swear filter.

15) Please don't block apple trees in the farming area, it keeps players from doing their jobs.

16) Please do not interrupt roleplayers (people with kingdom guild tags).

17) Please do not put on your Kingdom tag to avoid a bad situation (being attacked,etc).

18) Punishment and whether or not something breaks the rules will be decided by a Police, Police Chief, or an Administrator. Rules may be changed at anytime, without prior notice.

Police Rules
1) No excessive warping ("Excessive" being anything not relating to Police business). All warps/jails/updates are LOGGED.

2) Do not attack players on tag.

3) If you're attacked by another player, do not put your tag on to save yourself, it only causes trouble.

4) No special treatment for friends ("Special treatment" being letting them off the hook, giving them a lower punishment, etc).

5) Make your jailings WITHIN REASON. For example, don't give somebody 10000 rocks for scamming somebody. Don't NO PM jail somebody for swearing on their first offense, unless it is very severe/in mass messages. (Counting of offenses can be done while they're in jail, too.)

6) You are able to update levels. Abuse it, and you will be banned from using the update feature, or you could lose your job.

7) Police are NOT TO GET INTO KINGDOM AFFAIRS!

8) You are to follow all rules as normal players.

9) Disobey these rules, and you can be suspended/expelled from
Police by the Police Chief or Manager

It's good that nothing really new was added. I think that allowing police to update levels is a bad idea though :\

Also, is the warpto the same little script there was before where you could warp to predetermined locals?

Updating levels was added months ago, but a couple people abused it.

Yes, still predetermined areas.

No exploits of any kind, rather it be getting 1,000 gralats a second or walking up a cliff.

NO PKING ROLEPLAYERS

Dont go on your RP tag to save yourself from pkers

No blocking trees in the farming place

Dont harass people

No distribrution of trainers

No Bleep avoiding

---

And go ahead and add the terms of use in there

No Harassing

No advertising other mmorpgs

No Sexual Harassing

Administrator has the right to determine what's right or wrong

etc

Only that Diablo II isn't an MMORPG :O!

Which brings up the question as to why the rock jail has yet to become an NPK zone.

You should allow the jailed to pay a set ammount if gralats to get out on bail. And bring back the court system. Have a courthouse attached to the jail so that you can bring people to the trial and stuff.

I think it would take up too much time... Why is police able to update levels? o.O

So the rich can cuss out the staff but the poorer cant? That doesn't seem fair.

And the Courthouse just seems like an RP thing

You do know that you can do that in real life, paying to get put of jail, right? :rolleyes:

Then make it a set ammount like 10% of your total ammount of gralats. So if you have 1000 you lose 100 and if you have 10 you lose 1. This includes the money people have in their houses and villas so they can't hide it.

If you can use a script to prevent something illegal from happening, than there's no good reason not to do it.

In real life, there's no NPK zones.

Exactly.. that's why i think Era should have no NPK zones but have police and make it illegeal to PK.

Not being able to PK anywhere? And become a Lameicraplia? NO

Just make it no PK, people aren't supposed to PK in there. I doubt a GP would like to have to stay in there all the time to make sure that the prisoners don't PK each other.

I presume that warping is only possible while wearing the Police tag also..

Edit: Jail = PK Zone, also; why would a police have to check if the prisoners were PKing, its stupid to make Jail PKing illegal, half the punishment would be going into jail and being made "John Smith's" Beatch.

It's an NPC with preset locations such as Stables, Mt Antora, Gold Mines, Harmonia, etc.

Last time I checked it was.

PSO is definetally illigal anyway.

Where is the rule against rock stealing?

I plan on updating it soon, I was stupid and accidently left out all the job-related rules :( (2 or 3 of them)
