It hasn't worked right for a long time. It's been longer than three months. Hoss has been waiting at least 6 months for a remove button. ;_;

FrostyElf 08-08-2003 10:37 PM

last time i heard it was Lyndzey but if it's Angel then its probably gonna take some time because she has a playerworld and priorities might get mixed up between the 2

You have to understand...it's the only thing a common player who wants the guild center badly can do. If you don't have regular contact with a high-positioned staff member, not only do you not have less of a feel or understanding of the situation, but you also don't have much to do but complain and hope others will with you.

So, with that in mind... SOMEONE LET ANGEL FIX THE GUILD CENTER!! *looking at unixmad* (That's the problem, right? She needs to be allowed to do it...?)

But that doesn't mean threads have to be constantly made about it. If it's such a concern there are ways to contact the people in charge of it.

NovaNET 08-09-2003 12:25 AM

She doesnt have any of the code right now so she is just playing around with php and rescripting everything thats been scripted already. The project which is a 1 day project is now said to take a month and the VIP Forums a 10 minute project a month project aswell.

Yes, it does. Contacting the people doesn't work. Apparantly (from what many have said), they don't respond to forum PM's.

Well, whose fault is that? unixmad's? A little more information might help. We need someone to blame and get on his/her case about getting things going.
Anyways, there's more she needs (like access to upload the update?) than the code, right?

Well its sorta hard to respond to a forum PM when they are away, Lyndzey is on vaction, Stefan is also (I think), and so is unixmad. How can the respond to PMs if they arnt near a computer?

Angel is a hard worker and she is also a general admin and if she needs the extra stuff to work on it she'd mostly get it because she needs it.

I said "they don't respond to PM's". This is a general statement. I said nothing about them recently not responding to PM's. This was more based on what I've heard though, and also seeing how often they're around.

Yes. Threads should like these should be created daily to remind unixmad to get off his lazy french ass and do something about this guild system. Graal the Adventure has not had a fully functional guild system since at least December. I myself have been waiting MONTHS just to have the guild that I want created, but it's not happening because unixmad doesn't realize that Classic exists.

So I say someone should make a thread like this every day to make him come to his senses and hire someone, or give someone a chance to fix the system.

Must you complain about it at every single opportunity just because they didnt choose you to help them out? :\

From what I understand, they are relatively easy projects though.

I think the main problem is paperwork, really.

Yes, let's spam the forums like fools to hurry something which can't be hurried. I love your logic there.

This has nothing to with classic graal. Guilds are helpfull on GK too. For example, if RPing is horrible in every kingdom, and some people want to be in an organized RP group, they can use their own guild tag.

Can't be hurried? Are you serious? When there is someone saying it would take 1 day to fix and we've been waiting half of a year, why would that be hurrying?

Since when did one person saying something of which they know little to nothing about ever make it true?

Well, I'm sure fixing the guild system up the rest of the way wouldn't take over half of a year.

You did not answer my question.

And, from what I have been told, Strome's coding was rather...weird, and has been quite difficult to figure out.

I'll answer it now then. It never made it true, but I'm judging from past experience. I remember the last time the guild system wasn't working at all, and when unixmad finally fixed it, he said something along the lines of "glad i fixed that, people were starting to bug me about it."

SaijinGohan 08-11-2003 03:30 AM

Yeah you have to get under his skin enough to get him really on it. It does seriously need fixed. My guild leader quit and no one has high access so the guild has sat like hundreds of the others out there. Maybe instead of making multiple threads we make a really large one with 10+ pages. That seems to draw attention.

I think it does... We've been waiting 9 months for a working guild system, and it still isn't here!
guilds are a large part of graal for a lot of players, and it is really annoying being a leader of a guild, and not having control of it!
I can not delete, promote, or demote my members! all i can do, is not allow ANY new members. (for security reasons, since i would not be able to remove them if i wanted)

umm... I believe Nova knows what he is talking about, since he was offered the job before, and after looking at the code, he said it would only take him a few hours... then he didn;t get the job, and blah, blah.... anyways, he knows how long it should take, since he was planing on doing it that long, and even Angel said it shouldn't take too long once she is allowed to do the work.

It'll be fixed when it's fixed. Leave it at that. Constantly pestering and making annoying threads that have a 1% chance of being seen by someone who can fix the problem, won't solve anything.

Yes, but it will be very unlikely to happen this year. Especially since they probably think the only people who care about guilds are the ones who pay ONLY once for Graal for a classic membership or don't pay at all (trial accounts...upgraded by stolen credit card...etc). However, this is not true and this is proven by people posting their concerns for this on the forums (most forum members pay more for Graal than other members).

If you're in a party, you can use the party chat. There's no reason for "everyone to see" a guild tag on a roleplaying server. :\

Sure there is. Otherwise kingdoms wouldn't have guild tags. And like I said, some people like using "old guild messages". Not the newer party chat.

Well, either there is hope, or they've turned Angel into "one of them" and we'll never know. But how could they do that? I think it would require more money, making the profits even lower. So what does that mean? Are the rumors true? Unixmad has the alchemy recipe to turn coal into diamond? :o

Enough with this immense contestation. Everyone knows it has been entirely too long of a wait and the GuildCP should be fixed at once. People who payed for their accounts solely for the reason of having their own guild (myself would be one) are getting pissed and impatient at the siutation and even leaving Graal indefinately. There is no need to argue about this, so shut up and take your complaints directly to unixmad. Send him emails, tons of them. It is easy to ignore the forums but emails get the point across. Take my advice until unixmad actually comes on the forums and posts a deadline.

Organized spamming really gets the message across.

Patience has proved to get us nothing. If you don't say anything, how will people know what needs to be done? If you keep quiet and don't complain about Graal's problems, even less of them will be fixed (yes, problems are fixed in this game, believe it or not).
