Different ship types

I was thinking that there should be different kinds of warships on GK. Each one should require different items to produce it.

The first ship type should be ment for traveling only. It should be the one we already but without no cannons and no cargo hold. The cost of building should be as it is now (45 boards?).

The second ship type from this should be made from upgrading your travel ship. This should consist of adding a cargo hold. That should cost at least 30 more boards. This can be considered a carrier ship.

Then you have your basic attack ship. This should be able to be upgraded from a travel ship or a carrier ship. Either one should work. Basically, you have the current cannons that exist on GK, but with aiming capabilities like a bow (and ground cannons?). The cost to add this should be coals and iron bars.

From your basic attack ship, you should be able to make an enhanced attack ship. The addition to this would be cannons that shoot more linear. The cannons would simply shoot the first thing in their way unlike the current cannons which can actually go over an enemy ship. This should cost more coals and iron bars.

Now, onto my more bigger idea that got this all started...I don't know if Ghost Pirate would be interested, but I was thinking about how a Massive Battleship (which can move around) would be interesting like how G2k1's Pirate Crew had their ship, while smaller boats could be moved around. I got this idea when thinking about the ability to conquer island and destroy areas which has been spoken of. The massive battleship should not be able to be destroyed, but only stopped when it's "HP" hits 0%. This would be where it can no longer move. Repairs should have to be made with boards and a bunch of other items. The massive battleship would be interesting with rooms for the ship crew and such.

From that idea, I thought it would also be good for other kingdoms to have their own big warships, only not as massive (that would take away from CP being famous for their own special ship).

So what do the rest of you think?

Wouldn''t the massive battle ship be just a massive travel ship?

i think we should have mini boats that have keys to them like houses so people cant steal them

Oh, sorry, I don't know why I didn't get into enough detail with the most important ship. Basically, it would be equipt with cannons like the best battleship. It would be better armed also. If it wouldn't have better weapons,it would at least have more.

And that idea about other kingdoms having their big warships would be like a ship with battle capabilities as well as a lot of room under it. It would probably be like a smaller version of the main pirate ship I mentioned. It would be appropriate for someone like the Admiral of Zormite to be in charge of a ship like this one.

Yeah, I was thinking of this a while ago too. Some friends and I used to live on our boat and we could have used a lock for the wheel as well as the cargo hold. All ships I mentioned should be lockable though.

Just put a lock on everyone's chamber in the ship.

But the only ship that would have chambers would be the massive battleship. Or maybe also that last ship I mentioned...the big one that other kingdoms have, but doesn't stand up to the massive battleship.

You mustn't forget the biggest ship:
The giant party ship with chambers and dance room and you can eat lobster there

GoZelda 09-04-2003 03:30 PM

Pirates sucks 'cuz they eat fish :(

busyrobot 09-04-2003 06:54 PM

Really cool ship stuff is in the works. :D

If it all works out, people will be able to have customizable ships, up to big multi masted ships down to rafts and canoes. :)

Wait a minute, wasn't there already a thread relating to multiple ships, and we pretty much had it all designed...and nothing happened? Yes yes, I believe I remember. Absolutely NOTHING happened, althought most of us thought it would be a grand idea. Hmm...
