New Valikorlia..
 

Ok, so being the long time hater of Valikorlia that I am. Since It was first put back up and Virtue stole almost everything script wise from Providence and then the history of constantly stealing stuff from other servers etc.. I logged on wondering what crap I would find today. (well not today today but you know)

First thing I have to say is talk about a change. With the new custom tiles this server is starting to look really nice. Even though its mostly pics1 the slight modifications look really sharp. The level making in some area looks rather poor. But from what I've seen its being redone. If you're going to judge this server dont judge it until you visit the town of frost. Now those are some nice levels and the graphics are just awesome.

GUI is really nice and I like how you can set your attributes although I personally feel stats are currently way over power. When you can kill a person in 2 hits Some fine tuning needs done here.

Monsters are really nice but lack on wall detection it seems and they're really buggy. Some times they jump and you can see them in the new area that they moved to but the only way to hit them is to stand at the spot they used to be and attack. (didnt really seem like a lag bug)

Server is really laggy overall needs better scripting to help cut down on the lag. But the scripts I've seen look nice. (when they work properly with out lag)

All in all I think this server was released prematurly and should have waited a couple more weeks. But I still think its off to a great start and has me actually wanting to play graal something I havnt done in about a year.

I havnt seen much RPing yet but then again I was mostly fighting monsters when I was on so thats probably my own fault. (I hope)

All in all I think its definatly worth checking out(especially if you wait a week or two) if you're into RPing and what not. Definatly some fun content to be had. (Just make sure you distribute your attribute points before fighting by clicking on the gui)

Once they add more content (like more daggers hint hint Rogues dont use swords) and finish more levels etc... it will definatly be a great server. As it is now I have to say its my favorite server currently up on graal and this shocks me considering until recently how much I hated it.

Hopefully they changed their strict RP rules.

I agree, that's one thing I don't like about Valikorlia.

I've almost been banned on that server before and have been jailed in the past for my name (which I had not received a warning about)

When people say "Im going to ban you if you dont change your name" and unfair crap like that, just aim CronoPker and I'll srot things out.

And you're right, we are going to improve on alot of levels and each kingdom will probably have their own tile sets. (as in, additionts to pics1.png by replacing current tiles)

I pretty much felt the same way about Val. I logged on when I saw it on the playerworld list, and thought, "what crap do they have now?" But I actually checked it out, and even RPed a little and found myself enjoying the server. I do like the modified tiles, they're pretty nice, and the desert tiles are awesome! I hope they keep this good work up and fix some of those annoying bugs, and add some more weapons (3 is just not enough.)

One again, thanks for the compliments. The bugs will go away after a while, but for now, bear with us. We only have 1 scripter working on the system and maybe 1 or 2 working on other minor things. We're in need of some great NATS. So yeah, the bugs will take a while.

I think just about every server needs NATs. :p they aren't exactly growing on trees...Good luck anyway...I still don't like your server though. :)

Actually I have like 4 for Sanstrata and I do gfx and levels and ganis and Alarid helps with the gfx and ideas so I dont really need any more nats XD.

Well I get buged everyday by people asking me to hire them as lat and Kirby Shenlon is my lat cheif so I guess we have two and my scripters they do levels also.

From what I've gathered talking to what few staff I've talked to, They never intended it to be complete at this release.

They for some reason thought bugs that could have been fixed before it was public needed to be fixed after it was public.

Well, I guess it'll make them easier to spot anyway.

I go to Val all the time to get more stats. I want to be a Bandit but nobody will tell me how. The only complaint I have is the masses. I am killing a couple monsters and I get bored and open up my playerlist and it's filled with masses. People need to stop massing so much x.x I know there is an ignore mass button but I don't feel like ignoring them, considering some masses are important while others are just garbage between kingdoms.

Well youl get that anywhere like on GK and UN.

Well I guess you are right, but they don't all mass at one time like on Val. When one person masses, 20 other people have to mass too.

Didn't read all these long posts but all i have to say is i like Valikorlia but the Managar's Assistant "Tash" jailed me for 2 days for "PMing him when he was busy"

Tash was dealt with and he was fired too.

x_x Tseng came on the other day fixing scripts and everyone was yelling at him... that was stupid he was helping out when he had lots of other stuff to do and they were flaming him..

It ALSO seems that NONE of the Valikorlian staff are on these forums... just a few players.. it would help if they all got VIP's or something and could post updates and such here.

Yeah thats why I only hire people with talant and who are decient incidently All the people with talant I have hired are my friends XD. I only have like 7 staff members so Its not a big deal.

I like this server but unfourtunately I was banned for not RPing. Or something. I was trying to have some fun, but if you don't know my kind of fun isn't the fun your thinking of. Oh well.

I have to laugh when people get banned on their first trip on. I have massed about how Mido got fired from prov for being an idiot, and I can only begin to imagine the things Marty has done, and neither of us were banned.

or they ARE talented but just lazy =/
most people just want to be staff so they can warp and all that good stuff.

I've PKed every staff I could track down alot.
I've massed complete garbage.
I was bad mouthing Mido. (staff just laughed and agreed on that one)
I was putting down the Uploaders as to what a butt job that was.
I've pmed GP's telling them to stop massing complete crap while on tag and then gotten into long drawn out discussions about it. (he put me on ignore when done)
I got into an argument with the Guilds Admin about how I was being banned if I didnt removed Banthar's Hoarde from my name since it wasnt a real Orc Group. (never got banned even though I never removed it and told him it was because I said so)
I've had my nick set as very odd names (not profane)
I've done alot more but I cant think of it at the moment.

I havnt done this recently except the making fun of Mido and trying to get the GP to shut up with the stupid masses on tag because I hadnt been on in a while until I heard Mido was a big staff man and wanted to laugh at him. But I've never seen him on.

The people who got banned must have incredibly bad luck. I've had a lot
of corrupt stuff happen to me but never banned. One time some one kept killing me over and over with RC. Another time I kept getting warped around etc.. but that was when I was insulting Virtue when he was manager. =X

well, after going on here for 2 days (about 30 mins each day), the tileset finally loaded

it's ok.... but after seeing it take about an hour in full, for the tileset to even load, i wasn;t too impressed

after that, i just continued to wonder around.... i never saw any point to anything, OR any explanations, so i just started walking up to people, and hitting them with bushes, or useing something with the S key, that just made it look like i was hugging them 0.o'
I did that for about 10 mins, and got bored, and logged off

From what I have seen.
I still think this server is really poor.
The scripts are laggy and the clush guy sends a admin message every 20 min nearly and it lags up graal and if you play with graal 3 then it can be like you have been dissconected.
If you reduce lag and make better levels. and not some junk with path gen and loads of tileerrors the lats nearly don't know how to fix.
When you have fixed these problems I'll give Val a new try.
Untill then I'll keep critismize this server. (critismize) prolly a typo.

Yes I think that Clash guy should be fired. He's clearly a power abuser.

That is one bad thing he does admin message alot he needs to just stick with mass messages instead of admin messages I mean why do I care if Valikorlia Caslte is under attack by goblins? He doesnt need to Admin Message me that over and over.

Speaking of corruptness the other day I attacked someone with my Val tag, and then 5 minutes later he comes with his boots on and give me a warning for pking. Then I told him I didnt pk him, then he was like liar I saw you but I didnt infact PK him, PK = Playerkilling. They need there rules ajusted alot, they say no Pking is allowed but yet they never said slash and run isnt allowed x_x

Also, some guy started to use sexal harasment towards me. I took a screen shot sent it to Mal, then Mal jailed the guy. Then an admin of the name Ruinth (not sure if it was him there are 2 staff with simular names) unjailed him so I imed him and showed him the pictures then he said he will not jail him for it and told me to and I quote "Deal with it" I was mad at the point that a Admin cant handle this. There Co-Manager Weow is sharing an account with Ramos witch is pretty stupid thing to do since Ramos is coming back to Graal to work on DarkHero's server with lv. 4 RC.

And Valikorlia is very good, I play there a lot.
Clash is the NAT Chief, he does just about _ALL_ the scripting on Val. If he was fired, val would crash and burn.

Actually, Malinko is NPC Admin (aka NAT Admin), witch is higher then Clash he has done more work then Clash.

I should go bug Clash. I love him so much.

Don't be stupid. Words evolve beyond their basic/original meaning. PKing need not require you to kill the person - the word has evolved to mean any type of fighting that is neither sparring nor RPing.

This sounds like a problem - were I you, I would complain to the manager.

True. He and Vermain are the RP admins, I believe. Thought with them being the admins, I can't see why the roleplaying aspect of the server sucks so much.
