HTML commands

Would it be possible for this command be removed somehow from graal, certain players pm people using this, thus forcing them to close graal.

<body onload="while(2)alert ('<insert text here>')">

I don't see why HTML is enabled in Graal PMs, period.

I think you can only do it on RC, but I could be wrong.

Disable HTML in PM's

HTML can be very dangerous if you have experience with it. HTML should probably be altogether disables. an iframe or using "file:\\C:\con\con" as in image with the img attribute can give Windows 98 users the..."BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!"

Sorry for the double post, but, you mean F1, right? :p

Judge_S 07-22-2003 04:16 AM

It can be disabled, though only for your client.
Open the playerlist. Go to the Options button on the bottom, and then check the box that says "Don't use HTML in PMs"

-Edit
Sorry, I didn't know that Angel already posted that.

I stand corrected! :megaeek: And sorry Angel.

I believe they wanted to allow HTML so messages could be spiced up a bit. Personally I think it would be a better idea to do something similar to the forums with the "[" "]" tags and a few special codes.

Dangers of Html

Html is quite usefull through,
You brought me on the idea to make a table for selling items not bad hmm.

It's a double edged sword.
On one side you can mass porn.
On the other side you can use that crash script.

Okay okay. Seriously now.

Messages can look uber-elite-awesome-cool, with flaming text and all that thanks to HTML.

But crashing is bad :(.

thelostviking 07-22-2003 06:59 PM

Could be used to kick people out of events or high level maps.

You can disable HTML in RC too

Simply click OPTIONS and check Don't use HTML for PMs
