Events Team New Era
 

What is this about Events Team?
There are random events but not really
organized. I have made trophys for the
different events. On the first day
we were only able to do 3 events because
they take a long time. Now it's
2 weeks later and no Events Team holding
a tournament for the other trophys.
We had sparring trophy and horse trophy
(event hold by me), but nothing else.

Also every day I get online I get messages
from at least 3 different people wanting
to take over the Events team.

It's to time to change the Events Team.
First read the rules:

- Events Team gets no money for holding events!
You must pay it yourself or someone must donate
prices, or just hold events for fun which is better
anyway because then you don't have so much problems
with people overrunning the event or ruining it
or complaining that they don't get the price,
since in an event the people must participate not
just wait for a single person leading them

- Events Team get no special power except being
able to start races, using the events npcs

- The Events Team need some goals. Instead of
holding events randomly why not doing leagues,
kingdom wars, days with a special theme
(like today we are doing things on Mount
Antora, tomorrow the Dustari Kingdom holds
events and gives prices, etc.)

- No stupid polls about who should lead the events
team or whatever

I wish some oldbie admin would be interested in
leading the Events Team and make it more than
just a group of corrupt people
(I know there are good people in the Events Team,
this is only for making clear what we don't want)

wellllllll good idea with money. Most people want in ET so they can buy Bomies. I don't see why Events Team members need to give out money either. Money was great when they had like 1 event a day for like 10 gralats. It was fun bragging about so little. I think mining introduced too much money... Kind of ruined the fun of a few Gralats.

How about a ET who picks other et and then we have no admin? Every ET will be the same.

I like my idea. No team. Just an admin or 2 who can warp people to do events.

I lent Nightlord 130 gralats for mining stuff. Can he use his RC to give me my cash back or does it have to be earned with the player?

Now that we have railroads we don' need
to warp people, the players should spend some
seconds on getting there if they want to take
part :-)

Events Admin is probably needed to make
sure that the goals of the Events team are
followed, that they are organized correctly,
and may be for holding big survivor since
that needs more administration than other
events

No admin is allowed to give out money with RC.

The closest thing to RC i've ever used is when I h4x0r3d RC on that Providence 1.28 test hahahafuewhiufwehauifahwe i m hax0r

I would probably be a good events team admin... I dont care if I have power (it should be for fun, like on frolic we have no staff weapons or anything... because there is no point for them but being abused)...

I could try it out for a week or so (to see if I can do both jobs frolic and events team) if you want me to and see how I do with both jobs...

I am not sure how I would do because I have never held 2 big jobs on graal at once...

I sure am glad I turned down ET admin when it was offered to me, way back when.

Stefan's proactive reform efforts really touch my heart! This is exactly what Graal2001 needs!

NO, last thing we need is a pw owner being the admin we need someone that plays a lot and isnt involved in any type of PW so they can put all their time and effort into it. I would say CORPSE but he just doesnt seem to be ET material, (i dont think he likes them lol)

theres a lot more to ET tha meets the eye.
With a glance, all they do is say start.
But when you actually look at the job, its a lot harder.
First u gotta decide if theres gonna be a prize, and what it is.
Then decide an event
then get to the event place
then Mass saying you're olding an vent
then answer the millions of PMs you get asking stupid questions like "You're holding an event!?"
then wait for everyone to come
then decide when not to let ppl come
then live through the ridicule the people who didnt make it in give you
then get the teams even (The hardest thing)
then start the event
then tell the ppl who lose to leave.
then live through their ridicule
then give the prize to the winner
then live through the ridicule that the sore losers give you
