When a boat blow up....when a player dies...
I think instead of magically being warped back to "Your last save point" You should been thrown into the water and climb aboard one of the many planks of the blown up ship. The plank would automaticly float back to shore (depending on how far out you were) this would take time to float back so they "survivors" are not capable of instantly throwing back into battle.
As for the player death. I don't understand how it fully works now, you loose a few plats and get right back up....I think you become a Ghost of your former self, and must venture back and find your body and meld back with it (of course low of HP after "remelding" Of course players maybe could drag your body *slowly* so either they put your body into a save area so you can safely meld back, or ENEMIES put your body in some sort of cell...but at any rate whatnot. Maybe Each Island can have 1 or 2 Revival Platforms, and when a body is dragged onto one of these platforms they are revived and full HP. Maybe you can have a choice between the 2 Option 1: Die and Respawn instantly and at FULL HP at your Castle, and loose a few coins or whatever it is now. Or Option 2: Die, become a ghost, and be forced to search out your body. Anyways thats my 2 cents and tell me what ya think. |
I like the first idea of floating back to land, but the revival platforms seems a bit awkward to me.

Also call it a "Altar of Revival" if that suits your fancy. =) |
I think it would be cool, would give spells like 'revive' a purpose (since they got taken out) give brigid a noticable use, and keep people from constantly respawning in a war :)
