Rings
 

I think that rings should have a new look.
Right nowt hey look more like a dog collar then a ring.. Maybe actually add a little design to it? like ~~~~ around the rings? or maybe add little signs to special rings like RoT..

yeah it's hard to find which ring of mine is which ... I have almost 20 rings and I can't shortcut all of them x.x;

A different design wouldn't hurt, but I think they work as graal-stylish for now. There are more important things, and I guess, also, it'd be hard to make enough different designs for all these rings, specially as it'll be hard to distinguish some.

A few of us came up with different ring designs for the special rings a while back, but nothing was ever done with them.

Are these gfx still avaliable, i.e. have they been posted here?

The ones that got finished were posted here yes. As far as where the thread went or if it's still available, well, that's another story.

That a great idea... sort of like how a few of the ammy's have a special design. Since it does take alot of work, maybe the goal should be to just have the "special" rings have designs. Like ROT. ROF. ROE, ROS etc.
I have been so willing to help make gfx for Graal, if some one is willing to teach me some of the main stuff, like size dementions etc. I'd really appreciate it :D

Different shapes,sizes,and colors should be added. Maybe even special decales on them? For blood ring...spatters of blood?

Well, you can't go much bigger, or else they won't be the right size for an inventory item, and if it were smaller, it'd look out of place in the inventory too. Things are a certain size for a reason methinks.

Well, I got some ideas concerning colors and shapes - I agree that size should be maintained. I think I'll try some of them when I have time next wekk, then again, I'm not good at making gfx at all. I'll probably stick with creative recolors. The most advanced ideas I have right now are making ring of life a green vine wrapped to a ring and maybe some ring that comes close to a "of death" as the same made of thorns.

Blood Ring already has a GFX for it which is fine, doesn't have to be super fancy. For the high up rings (like ring of War, ring of Elrond) they should have the letter on them. Engraved on the ring Butz showed would be a W in the middle, and for Elrond it would be an E in a metallic color or something..

Okay, I've never seen a bloodring, so I didn't know it already has a gfx of it's own. I think RoF to RoW should have a gem, ruby for RoF, then emerals, saphire and finally a diamond for the RoW. RoE and RoM along with RoP could be designed similar to their LotR-counterparts...

I do think that the special rings should have a little design maybe nothing big just like a little thing so you can tell which ring is witch.. everytime I try to find a ring in my chest I have to click every single one just to find which one is my RoT/RoHM..

Your rodp looks great, I think every "ring of" should have an image of their own - say rof to row different gems, the magic rings an inlay of a different metal (say gold, silver, bronze, copper), ring of life gets to be made of woven vines, ring of power, elrond and mithrandir should be self-explaining with the proper referrence, the rest... maybe have rot rather black, of storm could have some sparks, or ice and of fire similar designs, as a challange for those who actually can pixel properly...
