2k1 State When Released
My question is, what will the state of 2k1 be like when it's released to public, will we be able to buy and sell, and use, bomies again? Maybe, the old bomies in which you could program them around to speak, and do certain things at certain triggers? What about kingdoms? Most of all the kingdoms have moved to Graal Kingdoms, what about the 2k1 kingdoms like Dustari, Zormite, Samurai, Pirates, and any other i've forgotten? What about the HP system? Any chance that could go back? Maybe the old bodies too, or at least a bigger variety of bodies?

I haven't seen anything "orginal" yet on it, lots of the same old on it, with new staff faces.
I think it's just going to repeat its self and fall into a hole in a week or two. I don't trust the current administration, since when is an Events Admin needed on? And since when does the only staff who responds isn't on Tag? It's just going to repeat itself. |
A little less "economy" and a little more "Roleplaying" is what I am hoping for
But it will propably stay as a little more "economy" and a lot less "Roleplaying" |

Well...whatever made Graal2001 fun in it's first 5 months will work out fine IMHO. I wasn't on G2k1 when it was new, so I wouldn't know. When I started playing G2k1 (after a friend of mine buying me a subscription), it was probably around late summer or early fall of 2001, and the economy seemed to be the big thing. Either way it was fun. The community was still not too big, and full of the well-known faces (liked or not like, but you know who I mean....Everyone from Stefan to Chris Kill'em)

You can pretty much guarantee when you have an idiot for manager than nothing is going to change. If by chance it does manage to get a stable small stable playerbase it wont be through anything the staff have currently done. Which would be nothing at all. Only thing that might save it this time around is Stefan and unixmad made it classic.

Graal 2k1 is dead. Get over it, it died for a year ago. You can't bring back the dead! I loved the server, and i think it would be a shame to make it look even worse when it dies again. Let the server have some honor in the grave! And, yes i would love if the server got alive again, but the only reason it was so great was because of the people who played there! Only 10% of them is back, Graal 2k1 died after the "oldbies" started to leave graal. Unless they change the server so it is something worth with out those people, it's doomed to die again... Sorry to say it, but that is the way it is! :(

From what I am noticing on g2k1 the player count is already starting to decline drastically. When it first came on classic it was at like 60 people and that was just the waiting room. I think if they hold off the overworld to long...players won't want to come back cause they are sick of all the hold up. The staff on 2k1 had to of known they were gonna be switched to classic for some time. Why didn't get everything ready a long time ago before it switched. Thats what is really getting to me about this whole situation. Procrastination!!! That is the word that comes to mind when I think of this. Oh well. I still like 2k1. As long as it will hold a player count over 30 people. Cause you need a community to play 2k1. Or it isn't any fun.

As for people leaving/coming back? I'm not too worried - they know we're working, and we the staff want it to be released just as much as everyone else does! So believe me - we're doing our best. For example, just today a large part of the overworld was reuploaded and fixed, and the old mining job was bugfixed and rebalanced; also some systems were bugfixed as well (human players now pick up rocks based on their glove level, like it's supposed to be, instead of 'anyone can pick up anything'). And just yesterday, among other things, the hat system was updated to use a different (and more secure) form of string, to prevent trainer users from faking hats as well as to simply the hat system. |
