Hello,if you don't know I and !Booj are the managers of Cynical.
I'm working for like 1 week and I already made some nice system and fixed some levels.
!Booj and some other LATs are working hard to fix everything,i believe they are fixing quests now,not sure.I'm working hard on scripts and making everyday a new system,also,im finishing the new GUI.
I finished a message system right now,will post a screenshot here.

Can't wait for it to come back to life, Cynical was awesome when it frist came out.. It was fun.. :o I like the quests. :o

It will be the same as first time when it came out,we are just adding new things,new system etc.

Map wise anyway, and just added that bar, the path is a bit too generated. Oh well hope you guys can fix it all up soon...

I hate it when people complain about the path generator. If used correctly, it can save you a lot of time. It's also easier to set up a template for a path and then use to modify it to your likings. It's a path, whoopy de doo.

Back on-topic, Cynical is a nice server. :D

I know it can be used that way, but it looks it hasnt in this case, or atleast it hasnt been edited enough.

I said the levels are gonna be the sames,but just with new things & tile erros fixeds.
Booj added that bar,but i will remove it and add the gui that im making.

Despite that it uses the default junk, it still looks boring. We have, what, most of the public servers using that tileset as well as whatever default stuff graal comes with? I know its not that big of a deal, but you could at least post a more interesting screenshot. Its just a forest with a path. Anyone can do that.

I'm not to impressed either, nothing we haven't seen before. Make something new, original, and if you are not able then I would not make anything at all =/.

I highly agree my fellow server-surfer! :D Cynical was a very fun place when it was up. It has somewhat of a nice, classic Graal The Adventure feel to it, with some really nice events and PKing. I can't wait until it's reopening.

There main problem was little quests, no events or no big visable updates...

!? Are you crazy!? Cynical had hearts in the two-digits and it had TONS of events! Sure, it had no updates, but why should things be updated when no updating is needed, I thought everything was running smoothly.

They need to be more visable, and also updates are needed even if they arent needed, so there is always something to do, and the excitment of updates keeps players playing.

We dont have to make new tilesets to be original,after Maloria,almost all servers are making new tilesets.
Copy ideas,is it original?

Oh boy, I can't wait to see the stolen scripts and laggy serverside timeouts of the non-stolen ones! :D

New tilesets isn't original, it just makes it look different than Graal normally does. It does open up new possibilities for playerworld's though, like with Kingdoms, Era, and the upcoming SA. I'm sure anybody could make a perfectly good playerworld while using the default tileset, UN seems to be doing a great job at it.

Maloria is FAR from the first. If anything, my own PW Murasamune was the first world to ever even think up using a new tileset. I was working on a new tileset for it before the feature of using a new tileset was even thought of. Considering it is now around 2.5 years old, I have failed to find any world who thought of using a new tileset before that. Not to mention Murasamune's threads from the past (Search:Murasamune) outdate just about EVERY PW using a new tileset...there is a possibility Faheria was the second world to use a new tileset.

So no, buddy, you are wrong. If you want to pull that on me, then Maloria is copying my old world Murasamune.


EDIT:I forgot about NewWorld, but at that time I knew nothing of it and saw nothing of it, though they did show screenshots around the time I got my Soul-Blade account...I believe I already had a tileset by then the the addtiledef feature was already implemented.

I just said that a playerworld dont need to make a new tileset to be original,i posted the screenshot showing the Message System,so people started complaining about the level..-_-

Believe it or not, I agree with Tseng. I believe you need to make your own scripts and stop ripping other peoples' scripts.

I really don't have to - I've seen you 'change' before, and it's still the same.

Why I used his name? Becuase from what I've seen of his NPCs, his solution to everything was also...surprisingly...a timeout. Can't think of a simple event to use? Use a timeout and check a flag instead of checking the event that causes the flag to change, that makes a lot of sense. ;)

Hahaha...I'm jealous that you manage cynical? Ahahaha. I manage graal2001, thank you very much. I have no need to be jealous of you managing some two-bit playerworld. My shock/awe was at the fact that out of every graalian, you were chosen to manage something. And, last I knew, Excalibur was managing there, so naturally you can see how curiosity could have gotten the best of me.

I'm famous? Hardly. Most people don't even know who I am, or vaguely know who I am; fewer still have seen my work. :p

I ain't taking anyone's side on this, but weren't you, If im not mistaken the one who told excal that he should re-upload old
cynical, like when It first started. As for the opinions on weather (sp)? too keep cynical the same It is, the same it was or too change it to a complete different thing i'll keep too myself.
