I would like to know the recipe that calls for a water of saphire and a vegeteble... like what it makes and why everyone wants it so bad...

It must make something good, because everyone is buying saphires...

some1 who was buying them said it makes a certain dust... he wouldnt tell me which though... im glad alchemists can make some good money again ^_^

If you don't give them sapphires, they can't make it, so if you are selling sapphires, you are a person who is messing up the economy. Simple as that.

Well since it's ruining the economy, might as well get rid of alchemy altogether. While we're at it, we might as well get rid of blessing weapons, because those are a problem too. Lets also get rid of monsters, because you can make quite a bit from things they drop etc. Maybe mining too, because you can get diamonds and people pay alot for those too.

Now you are just being stupid. Stefan tried to fix blessing by making the bless time longer but when the rabbit lucky charm was released, it totally messed up blessing again. All he needs to do is make >+3 items sell for a lot less. Alchemy is a problem only if you make it into one. If you sit down somewhere and constantly make the sapphire recipe for your own benefit, that's messing up the economy. Making it once in a while won't hurt but making >100 batches of the dust is absurd. Monsters don't ruin the economy, I was in the dungeons for about 2 hours, I only made about 1k plat. The heart/liver drop rate was decreased a while back. Also it's not like a level 3 can kill a ton of monsters and become rich, you must level to be stronger to obtain more money. Mining also has nothing to do with the economy, in the time it would take you to mine 1 diamond, I could probably make the same amount of money by killing monsters. Diamonds didn't always sell for >300 plat, they used to sell for 10-30 plat, but with the recent outbreak of people blessing to >+3, the diamond price is so high and people are so rich that it's selling like hotcakes!

I thought he was trying to make it so you had to make sacrifices to your god or whatever in order to get stuff from them. The rabbit amulet, might as well tone it down to +1 like the boots. having something 7 times better than a god is just obsurd. I don't see anything wrong with the value of the >+3 things, its the amount that you can bless in one day thats the problem.

You must remember that you can get anywhere from 1-10 dust per 3 sapphires, and since there is 3 times when you have to cast alchemy, there is alot of time to screw up a batch and lose a bunch of sapphires, it's also not alot better than philosophical phosphorus or philosophical oil, since those have alot easier to obtain ingredients.

I know they were toned down, but 2 hours and only 1k? You must not kill very efficently/ have really horrible charm for selling.

last time I went mining (When I was building my house) I had found about 10 diamonds before I had 100 stone, which works down to 1 diamond per 10 stone, and the time it takes to mine 10 stone is very little time, it's just the job is so boring not many people do that.

Runing the economy

the recipe is there for making money off of.. as is almost all alchemy dont complain about the economy being ruined by some1 taking advantage of a system designed for making money... i have made the dust and it doesnt even sell for that much.. i got like 400 plat from it... thats it... gawd

You realise 400 plat was an unspeakably large amount of money before all the glitches and bugs were abused, right?

In all honesty, GK has a terrible "economy" and it will not get better. The day it gets better, is the day the new GK server is released, and it's out of the testing stage. Then Stefan will probably monitor the economy more carefully. Right now nobody is ever on GK to handle bugs quickly, or fix economy problems.

The number one rule in releasing new money making methods, is to make sure you start off with really low profit. That way, if people complain, it will be about the lack of money they are getting, instead of the explosion of money all over the server. Then all you have to do is adjust the profit to be a little higher, and everybody is happy, and the economy stays in one piece.

If you start off by making things give too much profit, then the money will be on the server for good, and you have to come up with all sorts of ways to try and remove it. Also, having an actual real life value for the money would make things more balanced. Although I doubt any official server will ever implement it. What I mean is like, to have a certain amount of plat = 1 US dollar. No, I don't mean you can buy the plat for a real dollar, I mean how much that plat would be, in relation to a real dollar. For example:

1 plat = 1 US dollar
1 gold = 50 cents
1 silver = 10 cents

That means, you could price items in the game, closer to their real life counterparts. With the current way Graal money is done, usually the cost of things just goes up over time, as the inflation rises. It goes from winning 50 plat in an event as a big deal, to 8 months later, winning 50 plat wouldn't even get people's attention.

Yes it is nice that alchemists can make some money now on top of the fact that they have the ability to make balms which is pretty good money in the first place. what im waiting for a a simple way for a priest to make some money because untill you get high lvl it sux because you cant bless high enough to make money offf of anything.

The recipe doesn't make much money. At 20 charm and shopping, I sold one dust for around 70 platinum coin. No big deal.


water of the wise = 7 waters
water of sapphire = 1 water of the wise, 3 sapphires
dust of piercing vision = 1 water of sapphire, 7 carrots

Seventy platinum coins for one dust. Now, multiply that by the up to 100 people make at a time. 70*100=7000. That's not something to shrug off.

70 people doing the gov+3 diamond blades=70000 thas something even bigger ;)

then it was 100 plats, then 150 then 200 then 500

and and we are here pretty much right now, i think its crazy how these high bids of rich people just being desperate that needs something fast

so thats why there the 10 extremely rich people and then like 9 billion dirt poor people..

I would think, even though the cp is eliminated, that most things would be charged in sp. Gp should not even be heard of, maybe lying in dungeons, but certainly no reasonable shopkeeper would accept platinum unless traded for gold at a bank, or something of that order.

This is rediculous, look at that recipe! It'd take days of hunting to get enough saphires to make that, I don't understand why you think it's so bad... a few people do that with their collections, big deal, they earned it if they saved all of that stuff O.o I sell them, it's eazyer, and adds to my emediate income, I had no idea saving them would someday make me rich so I didn't, too bad, I don't really care.

I once made alot of money off of diamonds, adding ALL of it together I, a newbie at the time, got *lightning in background* 12000!!!!!!!! It went alot faster then you'd think, I spent it all, and I'm poor again.

People getting money doesn't ruin the econimy, what you're saying is if everybody makes money, eventually there would be nothing but rich people, but that's only if these low income people don't buy anything. If you have everything you need, you're rich, and can save up for the outrageous items, but with all the magic you can buy, I never stay over 500 plat, I use it all up!

Now with the additions of IWDs, PWs, EAs, etc etc, the rich people have even more to spend money on, I meen ALOT more, so they get powerful, go them, only problum is when they use it to pk, ouch. The IWD should probably be toned down to give less damage on each, but, not everything can be perfectly balenced... and on my oppinion; not everything should be.

If there's a way to make money that harms nobody, go for it, you're still working for your money.
