Okay, i'm hearing a lot of people complaining about RPing, and that Graal Kingdoms is a RP server but that none RPs. But, let's think a little further... There's nothing to RP with! We need stuff like inns and other places that have no meaning like buying, selling, killing monsters etc. So, if we get some of these places, i bet that RPing would be much more possible, and it would also be good to add a RP tutorial to the starting stuff, too.

thats what I have been saying this game doesnt really even have Roleplaying in it...all we do is kill..get stronget items..kill..whats the point of getting stronger things and leveling up? I mean there is nothing to do..the quests all they have is potions..POTIONS TO MAKE YOU STRONGER..Nothing to do....No big point to the game if you ask me.. Maybe if there wasl ike you said a inn to rp in like maybe..err...umm...like if there were ranks as swords man or something like that you make swords and stuff x.x stuff that has to do with swords...Like a job..Like if I was a cooker .. I get a job and I get paid for making food for the shop/inn get paid and I get some of the food...I dont know its a bit confusing.:megaeek:

I think that on MMORPG, there is so few RPing because people are busy all the time trying to advance their characters.
That really shouldn't be an as central element of the game...

Yes... Maybe it would also be good if the Haunted House had some more story in it... Same for the dungeons. If the haunted house was a bit more like the Bomy Volcano in Bomy Moon, that already would be a beginning. Also, if there was like, some guy in a town that tells about the tunnel, and some other guy who knows a tale about it for one silver coin, that also gives you a hint for a one-time quest. Like:
"Do you know about the tunnels, build by the ancient people of the old nations, to attack the Bomies from outer space? It is south of here. And let me tell you something very special now... On their way home trough the tunnels, some soldiers were attacked by a pack of remaining bomies, and got killed. The bomies then hid the treasure the soldiers were carrying..."

there's an inn on zormite south of the northwest town o.o

kingdoms islands are best for rping because there aren't any pkers there .. there's a pub in bomboria but if you sit there someone comes and tries to kill you =(

Ah yes, there are pubs on the kingdom islands. But, well, a pub in Bomboria, it is made for a quest and has nothing rp-like.

well, I've seen people get behind the counter, you could have some be the owner .. and then there could be a waiter ..

That's what I was thinking the other day...
I'd love to just serve people and get payed money or tips, and the drinks replenish your food meter, it'd be fun...
In the old days of GK we had jobs like waiter/waitress of a bar, Pir's Place I believe on start island...but nothing was ever done since no one scripted the food or anything :(

well we have food now, except drinks .. booze hardly ever shows in the store .. just need more drinks ..

.. and for the items to not go UNDER the table when you put it on it x.x

The only way to get behind the counter is being pushed by someone. Also, people will go stand in front so you can't get back etc.

I think the problem with the RPing is the kingdoms.

I know Forest RPs and has RP events and such, but I see a lot of inactive leaders, which leads to inactive kingdoms, which leads to kingdoms not RPing.

zen's on a lot, and we have our own little event team (the events are rp always i think) .. i'm even going to help out with one ..

I know Zormite is doing a good job of RPing, but what about the other kingdoms? I don't think Rahz even plays anymore.

There, it is much easier to RP.
Really, i got a dagger there because i RPed o.0 Me and someone i didn't even knew RPed i was this Prince who was betrayed and stranded on the island, lost his father's dagger and he gave me a dagger and told it was the one of my father and he needed to give me.

val was great... i think its because most people are more focused on killing everyone else and having the best event weapons that no one takes the time to sit and play a song on they're flute...

i mean some other players and I have gotten together before, sailed to a kingdom island away from the non serious players and RPed and had lots of fun... i think most lower level people who come here to RP eventually get sucked into the viscious cycle of leveling upo and being the stronges on the server... i however would gladly take time out of my normal gaming day to sit back and rp with some strangers who knows! we might be long lost rp relatives! ^_^ i think what we really need are some kind of RP items... similar to quest items but without a real purpose... kinda like flowers only... maybe a little ribbon or something..

my only suggestions for enhanced RP play would be
1) more ganis (/sleep and /sit are nice but we need mor eif we want to rp good)
2) rp items

im sure there's more that could be done but that would probably encourage some more people to rp

People do roleplay, just rarely, VERY rarely as a matter of fact. People are so busy begging and demanding for stuff, roleplaying gets lost in the mix.

Maybe if Stefan or Jagen decides to add my -Kingdom/RP- (Event Master) tag anytime soon you'll have some nice RP events ._.

The prizes. Since ultimately stuff was given out in events, people now except atleast a hammer of sorcery or a golden warrior helmet. But, since you can't give out items anymore,that also is impossible. And people know this, so why waste their time? That's a common thought.

In order to RP you have to have some RP regulations. Some games I won't comment on which one.. has a very nice RP atmosphere because its enforced. Talking out of game is actually illegal. unless its in (()) so I dunno. wait.. that would require some work my bad.

I wouldn't mind having something happen kingdomwise... but I do mind the trouble it takes to get cooperation...

See, but the thing is, you can't force people to RP that don't want to. Even with events masters, and RP teams, and all that nonsense, you still can't alter the minds of the players. If someone want's to run around, pking people, and shouting useless nonsense, well, you just can't stop them.

The least you can do is RP yourself. Stay in character, like if somebody talks in so-called Internet Shorthand, you get the chance to act confused. After all, it must be some strange accent or different language, because you certainly have never heard the word "omg" (Ahhmg?) before.
Same goes for mentioning OOC things. Like the time someone said he hated America, I just blinked and said "What's America?" When he asked me what country I was from, I said "Dustari". And finally when he said. "In REAL LIFE" I replied with "Well, this is real life, unless you know of some other." and just walked off. Left the guy pretty aggrivated, but I myself had fun with it.

And that's really all you can hope to do. Is have fun with it yourself.

Well not really. You can still host events and stuff on your own. I guess you ant the tag for fame or something.

People listen to you when you have a tag. It looks official. If you go host (RP) events off-tag, not much people will come. I held an event, 75 people online, 5 did it.

You might be surprised just how many people would disagree with you there. Rping doesn't suck. Rping with people that don't really want to/ know how to RP is what sucks. And as for being glad that people don't worry about it anymore, if you don't want to RP, pick a different server.
As for me, I'll continue to RP as long as I stay here, 'cause for me, it's much more interesting than chasing down monsters and hitting 'S' over and over again and filling my inventory with little coins and other things.
