Dishonest People

It would be useful to post a list of people you know to steal/are dishonest here. I've played 2k2 for 8 hours and have been screwed twice already.

KuJi- told me my level 4 map was worth 25 plat, and I didn't know any better so sold it to him.

Priest Denori Zakuram- not knowing fully how to use the trade system, I gave him 3 diamonds for 120 when it was supposed to be one. He wouldn't give me the two back.

Live and Learn...Most people who play Graal are greedy and seek for the nearest source of power and control there is.

Also don't trust anybody.

syltburk 05-30-2003 08:29 PM

yes, graal is the game that ive played that mostly doesnt come with a freindly welcome :/

mhermher 05-30-2003 09:50 PM

Denori is a scammer, so is Kuji.
Never trust any of them.

Locke_boy 05-30-2003 11:34 PM

Denori's not such a bad guy .. although that wasn't very nice of him. :( Kuji, eh, I've not heard a lot of good about him.

If you need a friend on GK, look for me. I'm very experienced, and I can answer about 95% of your questions.

DenoriZakarum 05-31-2003 01:15 AM

i pmed him 4 times and said i would pay 200 for the extra 2 diamonds he gave me but he never pmed me back =/ then he goes and calls me a scammer

I agree, although without any conflict, the game would be flat. Graal needs playerkillers and scammers (at least legal scams, yes it's possible). The game would have no shine if everything was happy go lucky and nothing bad ever happened to anyone. Just like with life, there are conflicts and things, which makes the world more interesting.

As for what happened to him, both of those seem like legit scams/tricks. Especially telling someone something costs a certain price, when it doesn't. That's just common sense not to believe the price the BUYER is giving you, lol. "Seriously that diamond of great value is only worth 5 plat, sell it to me!" :p

While a lot of people on GK might be greedy, it's only fair that scamming like this is allowed. I mean if it's a true RP environment, stealing from players would also be allowed. I mean you can scam them and kill them, why not steal?

Monsters on GK don't pose a threat to high level players, that's why there's a need for evil people, so that there is some kind of danger.

mhermher 06-01-2003 03:36 PM

Denori is a scammer.. he tryed to scam me on a EA, and scammed a friend on one.

Not really, it is incredibly helpful for new players to know who to watch out for. I mean, it's very discouraging when in the first day or two of playing you lose great amounts of money(to a newbie anyway). As for his "PMing me", we met and then he ran away and logged off.

DenoriZakarum 06-03-2003 12:58 AM

the ONLY time we met was the first time, we havent met anytime after taht, when ever you ee me on pm me and ill give u 200 plat, i wont go chasing u down

You were standing right next to me, you were trying to block the doorway in the pen house.

ZeroFXSM 06-03-2003 05:34 AM

Denori,

you could just give the diamonds BACK.

Instead of holding them and pretending they are still yours.

DenoriZakarum 06-03-2003 06:39 AM

i made diamond blades out of em =/

That's dishonest.

Get new diamonds.

GoZelda 06-03-2003 10:50 AM

I agree with Tyrial XP
Give 'em back
And everyone who scammed me, give me my stuff back!!!
Ehe...

Ah... but it is.

This would fall under the catagory of "________ KILLED ME SO LETS KILL HIM!".

Then you're exactly as dishonest and dishonorable as he says.

Satrek2000 06-03-2003 11:41 PM

A list of known and notorious scammers would be nice - but I'd vote against it. "Hey, <innocent acc> was lucky and got the ToW first while I was still charming. Well, bad luck" can easily become "Watch out, <innocent acc> is a scammer! Scammed me a RoW! Beware! He scammed me before! Kill him!" People already accused me of being a thief when I was killing a dievil, they ran by, slashed it once, and I took the droppings (and it was my poison, not their slash that killed it...). So the idea is good, but the population might turn it bad.

protagonist 06-04-2003 12:18 AM

Yes but the credibility of the list comes from people verifying it.

Yes, KuJi (accountname Zell2003) is a low-life. He scammed me out of an Enchant Weapon scroll...insisted he wanted to "right click" it. He also goes by Soldier Cid of Dustari, so beware.

zell12 06-04-2003 04:32 AM

And no, thats not my account, don't mix them up. :o

Androk 06-04-2003 04:59 AM

That's why I put very trusted people on my buddy list (1 successful/good trade). and I put people that are scammers on ignore. Basically I eliminated any chances of being scamed now, unles a new scammer pops up, but all it costs me is 1k, and he is cut short from all the stuff that's connected to me in any way. Fun Fun =)

Satrek2000 06-04-2003 08:54 AM

I didn't get scammed in months (that is, since the first day I played and got scammed a cheap golden helmet), and I don't bother with lists for that purpose - I wonder why that is? Safetrade, I'd say...

boukon_malisous 06-04-2003 08:59 AM

o_O.... Personally I never traded with anyone I didnt know as a friend. Even then I was cautious considering all the l33t stuff :o
And that is one thing Ive always wanted and I dont think it was ever made.... SCAMMING SHOULDNT BE LEGAL! If scamming wasnt legal, I bet people wouldnt complain about losing an item to Stefan as much. Ive even had people IM me, telling me to "Get my item back!" And I quit a while ago... :\

Satrek2000 06-04-2003 03:14 PM

The problem is, you'd need pore staff to check every cays - to prevent people from dropping something, telling someone he could take it, then run arround and shout "SCAMMER!" And even if it wasn't legal, people woiuld still complain - now they ***** because they want their items back - then they'll ***** to get their stuff back and the scammer banned...

Without scammers there is no economy... people fail to understand the little things in place and how they make a big differnce.

It's always your gameplay or it's how easy it is for you. Games are supposed to be struggling and hard. Otherwise you're spending money to talk. Scammers equal the economy out.

Money and items are WORTHLESS. You're too caught up in your greed to care. You mock the weak but you are the ones who are weak. The Poor and the Weak shall inherit the world... and it will be you who is their enemy.

Anyways... you're stupid if you're scammed because trading tables have been installed.

GoZelda 06-04-2003 07:16 PM

Scamming should stay legal, but we need some sort of trademasters or such... maybe get witnesses at your trade?

Scamming doesn't always have to be in a trade. A friend could betray you while borrowing something of value. .. and NO, Zurkiba, they are NOT worthless, because they have real time spent getting them. It has nothing to do with greed (for most of us anyway). How would you feel if you spent such a long time saving up for a ring of War, then bought it .. and then got it stolen somehow? Don't say "I wouldn't let that happen" because you have no way of knowing what you would or wouldn't do. I'm just speaking hypothetically anyway.

"The Poor and the Weak shall inherit the world..."

What are you, some sort of revolution leader? :\ The poor and the weak will inherit it sure, but then they'll be the strong and the rich. :|

GoZelda 06-05-2003 08:30 AM

You're stupid if you got scammed by someone whom you know of he/she is a scammer. That's it.

Thallen 06-05-2003 02:51 PM

Well, I believe making your own choices is a big part of Graal Kingdoms, and scamming is just a way for people to get the better of others. I haven't did it myself, but I mean, if scamming is possible, people are going to do it. It makes the server slightly more RP-like as well. Before you sell anything, make offers to others, see what they'd pay. I always make the person offering me a deal give me their share of the deal first, if we are just dropping weapons.

This thread is mostly for newbies, so they don't get scammed like I did.

Of course he would say that. Religion and Darwin's theories always clash. DUH. Zurk was quoting New Testament scripture by the way.

Anyways, yea scamming does equal out the economy but it really sucks arse when it happens to you.
