Guild Management is messed up again
 

What is wrong with Guild Management? Me and a number of my
members have changed their names only to find out the tag will
no longer come on. This is getting very annoying. Why is Guild
Management screwed up again, and when is it gonna be fixed.

An empowered guild member (such as a leader) needs to build the database after someone changes their nick.

I have the same problem. Since saturday, new guild tags and nickname changes are not working. People successfully log into the GuildCP, they set their nickname, the database gets built...and nothing happens. It's as if the changes were not recorded anymore.

At first, I thought this was related to Graal's current FTP problems; however, another guild leader assured me that his new guild tags were working just fine.

I am troubled: what could be causing this situation?

dunno. if new tags are working for 1 guild they should be working form them all

hmm, yes. i notice this too.... i have the ability to build the database, and every now and again, if i build after someone changes their nick, they cant use it..... its weird. it needs fixing!

what guild? i will check the databases on the webserver and the game server to compare

My guild is (The Flames) , could you check if anything is wrong in the databases, please? New nicknames still don't work. This problem seems to have been occuring since the FTP difficulties.

Also, no global guild tags are working on the Enigma server since it was switched to a new computer, and I have no idea as to who is supposed to fix that.

TAW is having the same problem.. I have 10 new members who can't even get their tags to work to start with.. and about 5 who tried to change their nicks and they won't reset. I've been building the database everyday but nothing works. It's as if the new nicks aren't setting because if you setnick your old tag name, it works, but not your new name you reset it as. I hope you can help Galen. Thanks.

Staff told me that all newer guilds and members can't put tags on because something is wrong with guild managment. We all should be able to build the database and set our nicknames but we CAN'T add our tags. I don't know when this will be fixed but I sure hope sometime soon :(

June 8th was the last time the guild databases were mirrored

The Tags for (Wild) are not showing up either...and I've built the database after every nickname change...

Something will probably be done, but it will surely take a long while, as the Graal administrators don't seem to care about the whole guild business (there weren't any news regarding the status of guilds management.)

By the way, at http://www.graal2001.com/guild/guild-manage.php, why does it say "WARNING: Authorized Guild Leaders only." ? This vestige of the ancient guild utility is obviously incorrect, as the guild utility is for everyone, not just leaders.

Bleh I forgot to post news about it but there isnt any thing I can do. Want me to post news about it now? I think every one knows & most dont read the news. Only unixmad can fix this & he knows about it so there is nothing more to do..

Well it would be a good idea, just so everyone knows what is going on and that this problem is being solved (I think?)
