Graal Scripting for Dummies
 

You should make a text that teaches people to script like the 'for dummies' books. Those help me tremendously and alot better than any text document on the computer. Or better yet have some kind of expensive tour =p but that wont happen.

Publish a book; "GScript for dummies".

I'd buy it. ^_^

There is one bad thing about this idea, scripting isn't for dummies >.< .

Why pay anyone? There are enough online resorces, not to mention the fact that some people will show you the ropes for free.

Well I dont really consider you one of the people I would accept lessons from. And I sure as hell would not pay someone because I dont know how much I would actually learn from their teachings. I would decide how much to pay after I learned.Any book with the words " For dummies" is an instruction guide. Dont be such a smartass. By the way,what happened to your other account?

I'm no pro scripter, but I'm not terrible either. I have a medium-level scripting ability, and I learned by having a really good scripter look at my scripts and explain what was wrong with them if they were wrong. Basic trial and error is a good way, but a better way is trial and error when your error is explained to you.

Yeah Trial and Error worked for me. I still learn more and more everyday.It would be really good if you met with some other good scripter in real life,or something where he/she could instruct you personal rather than a confusion of messages he/she may send you on learning.

Well, i remember using that Newbie Scripter's bible, but i assume that it is out of date by now.

Don't be so sure of that. Ace keeps his bible 'up2date'.

hmm.. i guess i will look in to it again. I remember it being very usefull.

That cant make someone learn script. Having a teacher or a good guide would be something helpful. A row of colums explaing what a a variable does doesnt help.
