New GraalShop + levelgen + gif2mng + dungeongen

The developer package has been updated. Here the new stuff:

- graalshop (gani editor) can handle the
attributes 10-30 now
- the level generator produces .nw levels
and gmaps
- gif2mng has been updated - the generated mngs
are now compatible to the mng standard,
which is important for Graal v3 which
uses the mng standard;
you can fix old mngs by converting them
with gif2mng again - gif2mng can handle
short to long filename conversion now so
you can convert images by dropping them on
the gif2mng exe in the windows explorer
- there is the new dungeon generator which
has been used to make the dungeons on
Graal Kingdoms. You will need to make your
own inside tiles though to use the
generated levels in your playerworld. There
are dungeongenerators for windows and Linux.

How do we like, GMAP-ify? :x

Dude6252000 05-25-2003 12:03 AM

Stefan. Quick tip: You rock.

Question: Can you edit default attrs and params 4-30 in Graalshop, or can you only do it in a txt editor?

No most use the normal levelmap style.

I think alot of the New Generation severs use gmap though.

JrTerrorist 05-25-2003 07:53 AM

How do we use the GMAP thing?!??!
I dont understand... ;_;

Admins 05-29-2003 02:38 AM

It's the new map format, you can make flat gmaps that are like a level list and also tell Graal what map image and minimap image to display, and Graal automatically puts you on the map once you enter level from the gmap. Online scripting on gmaps is a little bit different than in normal levels (its seen as one big level with a size of map width x 64 tiles by map height x 64 tiles), but makes things more interesting - npcs can move around freely and its not just connected levels like with the old setmap thing.
It's described in the levelgendoc.html how to use it, there are also some information about gmaps in the dungeongenerator docu.txt.
