an idea for people who use magic
Well what i was thinking since like people who can use swords
can use IWD's and improve stuff on their weapons maybe wands too like..magic +1, int+1 like to improve the wand..maybe a way so that when you cast its bigger or maybe stronger..and when you worship a god or something they can add something to your wand that shows that your a follower or something cool like that ( or buy them and add them to your wand ) or something that can make you recharge your mana/grace points faster..would it be possible to do something like that? :confused: |
almost forgot also like maybe gods have a element so if you
worship like brig maybe it gets powered up by using summon earth elemental.. and balor powers up your fireballs/fire spells you know something that can boost them also.. only reason i posted this today was because i dueled this one guy today well he killed me with like 1 hit because he iwd'd his sword and did all this other stuff while i casted and ran at the same time heh. |

But first. We really need to change all the spells in the game, into projectiles, and change the names of the spells. Increasing the speed when the projectile is hovering. Projectiles shouldn't be able to be canceled out by stuff on the gmap such as houses or wells, and such. Right now we really need to fix spells and add a targeting system. Double clicking on a person to target someone would be nice, it would show 4 arrows around the person showing that person is targetted, you can use this on monsters too, and if you wanted to cast well lets say summon golem then you click once on somewhere on the land a 1 ARROW would appear pointing DOWN on the area it will appear on. Dragging icons is very very..dumb. When a thing is targetted it won't show on a other players screen. |
Double clicking on a person? That wouldn't work... Have you ever tried right clicking someone who was in the middle of a spar? They are hard to click on once, let alone twice.
I think spellcasting needs to either: cast spells instantly, but with slow "bullets" cast spells slower, but with fast "bullets" Right now, magic is pretty weak though, I agree with the rod/wand/staff improvement thing. I don't think I could knock down a powerful monster by using large bullet until all my magic ran out. I really hate when I knock them down to a sliver of health, then run out of magic, and they start healing, so it's impossible to kill them without using a melee attack. The magic attacks are powerful on players but not on monsters. Probably because I guess monsters have 0 resistance to magic, instead on negatives like most players... |
It would be nice to see how much HP a monster has, and how much DAMAGE you do...
So you KNOW what your doing and how much HP it has left. And also, right clicking on spells in your spell list, should bring a dialogue saying the spell name showing the icon, the damage range 40-60 damage the type of spell and description |

Well the only reason i would like the stuff that i said to become
true is because today i was fighting a bomy lord right you know i was owning it then it got to like maybe 6 hp and my mana was at 0 then some guy who can do like 30-50 damage at a time with like 3 speed just came and whack he killed the thing that took me like about 40 mana in about a few seconds..what is that all about I mean people complain how magic is too strong..to them but what about monsters? they can run away and probably have resistances and dont forget they regain hp faster then us.. Oh I also had another though maybe you know how when you get a gods spell you just get it well maybe i was thinking.. the god gives you a special wand which has like i dunno +5 damage on earth element attacks ( for brigid ) or something like that and it has its own cool look and each god that grants stuff doesnt have to neccicarly be elements like maybe govanon and bile give a +5 damage while using wounds..or something like that..but I really like the idea about gods giving you like your own wand since you are a follower of that god ( or a weapon as in a sword or something ) |
Wands can't have stats added to them .. why they just don't change the scripting I don't know ..
.. I know this because the Zormite wand was supposed to have magic+1 and ac+1, but they couldn't do it because it wouldn't work, because it's not a "cloth" or something like that .. .. but I don't get this, because in the game this is based on, I remember seeing wands with stats attached to them. Eh .. strange .. |

listen thats not the point also i mean if you do NOT worship brigid
your mana recharges like what 1 little point ever 7 seconds which is slow..and the mana stones cost about 12 plat and only regen 12 points oh wow im gonna beat a lord that fast with only 12 mana and there are mana stones that cost about 100 and something plat! |

Brigid only affects grace (+3) and health (+2) regen, not mana ..

I just thought of something what is the point of using a wand when using magic? I mean all it does is what..i dunno make it harder for you when you want to kill something using melee or magic..I mean like on other games such as Fantasys Stars Online the magic ppl get wands but they can whack stuff with it and like get extra magic powers like up one of their element attacks.. if other games have that howcome graal doesnt? all it does is make you carry more..

even other games let u cast spells w/o a wand/club its just plain dumb like it would be nice if you can cast while using a sword or something or making the wands do something nice..other then like wand of ice storm 8 charges left... or those highly over priced wands that ****ies like me cant afford!

Imagine this - you fight someone and the both of you use swords. Suddenly he casts flaming aura or some large area attack, something deadly by any means. You had no idea that he could or would. If you see him switch to a wand then you know something will come. So in my poinion there is a point for using wands, and also, they don't hurt after all, do they?

No, there's a much bigger change from swords to magic than from punches to kicks. It would be like that same spar, and suddenly you get shot. He should at least be required to draw his gun.
