War Axe
Why is this Axe so cheap?
Seeing it has 10+ Damage, why can it hit extremly fast, causing players when they get hurt, its impossible to leave from the damaging of that axe. It gos SO fast that it doesn't allow you to hear the sound or even see the hitting image. This a bug? Also why are axes so fast when theyre spose to be SLOW. -- another bug -- Fix the holding D and slashing faster thing. AND the pressing S 2 times in 1 slas h allowing u to hit 2 times -- Fences -- Why can you walk through fences? This is odd and very annoying when people can just run through them. I suggest making it a tile or something,because png's dont work. Or make some sort of player fix. |
Errm...are you insane? That bug has been fixed months ago =/ Also, unless you aren't very smart you would allow the axe to hit you that many times, it takes one step to dodge it and it's quite hard to hit someone with it considering you have to stay in one place to strike unlike a sword. I agree on fixing the sword thing...not so much on the fast slashing, I don't really mind but the press "s" twice in one slash to hit twice = damn annoying. It's like the friggin weapon does double damage, especially when people like Selzar do it with his blood sabre that does like 70 damage =/ Fences...it works on walls too x.x

Chris, it wasn't fixed.
I know what he's talking about, being trapped and not being able to move. It's incredibly deadly unless your speed is around 3 .. which isn't so for most people. All weapons go WAY too fast, mos tanyway. A huge war axe shouldn't move as quickly as a light wooden club .. and a bulky and heavy diamond blade shouldn't be as swift as a short sword. |
wild tangent time:
speed should be slower, yah, but also: variable - like, the first swing of an axe should be slow, second a bit faster, third time up to 'frenzy speed' - but once you move and don't keep swinging, you loose momentum agian. (note, frenzy speed shouldn't be too fast of course, just not as slow) similiar with swords but, less time to get up speed, etc, because it's lighter of a weapon. my two cents :D |
I thought that getting hit and not being able to move had more to do with the attacker's WC? ::confused:: dang...

That sounds more like your game is lagging, and it's a personal problem. That doesn't happen to me unless I'm really lagging. Fix the holding D and slashing faster thing. AND the pressing S 2 times in 1 slas h allowing u to hit 2 times I agree. A simple fix would be to just set a 1-2 second invulnerability to someone who gets hit. While they are invunerable, they can't swing either, so it's just used as an escape tactic. Why can you walk through fences? This is odd and very annoying when people can just run through them. I suggest making it a tile or something,because png's dont work. Or make some sort of player fix. The fences block normally. The problem is, really fast players can run over the fence. This is because they have speeds that can't be divided by the tile size of the fence. (16x16 pixels) In order for the player to move, you press a direction key and the player moves a certain amount of pixels per loop, depending on your speed. If the player is moving too many pixels too fast, it kind of runs over the "tile". Also, the fact that it's a graphic image is also part of the reason... Maybe better collision detection is needed... or a more secure form of setshape... As for the weapon speed. I really think it should depend on the player's strength and agility and such. By the way, I don't even think weapon speed is calculated in GK. Meaning it doesn't even work. |
