Graal Guild System

Stefan or Unixmad any word on a exact or more reliable timeframe for a actual fully functioning Guild Management System?

unixmad 05-20-2003 09:00 AM

Chong our WebMaster have again leaved the boat so we need to hire a new WebMaster that can handle the programming of the Web site and Guild System, if anyone have very good Php skills and good references Email Me ( [email protected] ) .

If we don't find someone in the near future Tyhm or Me will handle the work ourselves.

Isn't Nova really good at it? He shoudl be given a chance is so.

zell12 05-20-2003 11:11 PM

Why not just get a professional WebMaster this time. Actually pay this person to do the things. I am sure there are many people on the web looking for work and are excelent at web design.

melissa1988 05-20-2003 11:29 PM

Get Ibonic to do it. :P I don't know if he would though...he gets busy n'stuff

I was going to say the same thing... only question is... if he has time for it?
(like he was going to do the site for my server... but he hasn't had the time yet)

Nitkizi 05-21-2003 04:18 AM

Yeah, nova is busy working on some stuff right now. :(

melissa1988 05-21-2003 07:27 AM

Ibonic's a better choice hands down. You should see some of the stuff he can do. :)

It's upto Unixmad i think more then anyone else...
I have more then 10 - 12 hours a day to "dedicate" to development as i work at 365 Main Street one of the world's largest data centers and most recognized. I work about 1 hour out of the day on maintain over 200,000 servers and 21 Providers and Telcos. Other then that im either playing graal or working on any misc. program i might be developing freelance for sale.

Spark910 05-21-2003 07:36 PM

Nice CV. Unix I think you found your man.

Ibonic 05-21-2003 07:52 PM

you either had a typo when you posted your resume (which I doubt you typed just then), or you changed the sallary from $1,500 to $4,500 to make it look better (which I suppose you'll deny)... hmm

oh well

I don't see anything on there that I'd be proud to brag about

I could type all kinds of things on a resume, and get people to back me up

I can pretend to know or do anything, and prove it to others

this world's full of actors -- I LOVE IT

___

this really doesn't have much to do with you (Nova), so don't take it personally .. I'm just insane ;)

by the way, I hope he does choose you if some things will finally get done -- less work for me :)

melissa1988 05-21-2003 07:58 PM

And you posted your resume here why?

I don't have anything against Nova either. I just know what Ibonic can do so I recommended him.

I do find it funny though that Nova has this cult following him around...lol

Ibonic 05-21-2003 08:58 PM

I know that terms of experience don't mean much; some people can do a certain thing for several years and be considered "professional", but there are also people who can surpass their level in a much shorter amount of time

it's saddening that the majority of society desires and idols people with long-term experience, and proof of it -- a lot of people waste their learning (avail)abilities in order to obtain these things

a lot of us rely too heavily on others

_0AfTeRsHoCk0_ 05-21-2003 09:12 PM

Hey Nova, just curious, you said you were on vacation touring the world... are you back already? It's been like 2 weeks.

That hasnt started yet, lol.
He went to Mexico two times I think.
And his european tour, as it were, starts in July I think.

NovaNET 05-22-2003 02:04 AM

Aye,

I'm have already toured canada, mexico, peru my official next launch is inm july (maybe delayed) and i'll be heading to europe for a few months. 2 weeks (hmm well im going on my second month atleast i thought since i left on my birthday which was april 3rd. )

and yes my Requested Salary was edited as i posted a older resume of mine and in addition i added my CIW under affiliations which wasnt listed on my older CV (resume).

P.S. Ibonic in no way am i trying to compete with you i just wanna see the guild system get finished in a orderly amount of time a project like such would take me days and its taken months so far.

Nitkizi 05-22-2003 02:15 AM

Oh, sorry Nova, didn't know you were back already :D

But as far as I know, Nova isn't lying about his resume. :megaeek:

NovaNET 05-22-2003 02:17 AM

Unixmad has accepted my offer infact he was very generous in offer compensation but i asked that graal just accept it as a donation so as soon as i fillout some paperwork ill get to work.

Projectshifter 05-22-2003 03:14 AM

Ouch >.<
I told Unix I'd finish the GuildCP, as school gets out in 5 days and I've got time to work on it... and considering I said ages ago I'd do it, it wouldn't be that hard to finish it, as PHP/MySQL aren't all that difficult. The only language that actually has difficulty to it that I've experimented with is C/C++ so that's my latest project.
Whatever -_-
Anyway I'm still working on my forums:
http://ps.gwdn.org/main.php
login: GraalUser
pass: graalian
You can check that out. It was a project/is a project for school, but I'm going to finish it and make it look nice and either distribute it open source or sell it, dunno yet.
Wow, so obviously it doesn't matter that I know how to code now, it only matters the fact that I no longer work for a computer store and that I don't work on a main computer branch. Wow, that's about stupid, but who cares... =>.<=
---Shifter

Nitkizi 05-22-2003 03:21 AM

Says username and pass is invalid D:

Projectshifter 05-22-2003 03:45 AM

username = GraalUser
pass: graalian
try now, I had to readd into table.
Sorry

superb 05-22-2003 07:05 AM

Two become one? Nah, it will never happen says the clock

NovaNET 05-22-2003 08:48 PM

Fully Functional versions of Graal Instant Messenger and RC were released.

I released a Beta version of the instant messenger via the file server on Shaded Legend and the same with the RC client i just decided for the most part until i spoke with unixmad further on the projects that i would halt development.

Yeah....I think it would be better if both of them were working together because then they could both work on seperate things then check over each others work if they both knew what they were doing really well. It's like working on a school project for something, you both have been educated about something therefor you should both be able to correct each other's mistakes if there was any. :)
