Prepare Weapon and Improve Weapon Damage

I've a few questions and concerns about prepare weapon and iwd :) Please point out any faults in my synopsis.

First, the # of slots on your weapon is determined by the amount of diamonds. The number of slots is the square root of the amount of diamonds you have?

To prepare a weapon, first say /mark weaponname. Second, you put the diamonds (100) on the ground in front of you. Read the prepare weapon scroll, and your weapon should be come like so 'Knumb's Inferno Sword of _____ (Improved 0/10)'.

On to IWD's. With my 10 physique, I can handle 7 improvements, though my weapon has 10 slots. I can use 7 IWD (By simply marking the weapon and reading them) until I level more in physique.

At any time will I grow too powerful for the weapon, and if so, what level/phys is that?

Your question is....

I'm not sure what you mean by that but the weapon can become to powerful for you. It seems you already are 'to powerful for the weapon' sense you have 7 IWD's and you can hold 10.
But if you ever go beyond your improved capicity you will get an annoying message saying "The weapon is to powerful for you." Which means you need to...
A. Level up....
B. Find a new weapon if it is so far out of reach such as, you need 5 more levels just to use it....

I mean, could I still use the same 10 slot weapon at level 30 as I did at level 13?

You can't "outgrow" a weapon. But it's funny if you improve it more than you can handle, the message "It's too powerful, it'll consume your soul!" appears.

Hmm, are empty slots counted as part of the improvements though? I mean, if you can handle 6, and you add 10 slots, but only fill six of them, what happens?

Kaiser2 05-05-2003 06:18 AM

It's how many improvements you can handle, not how many slots you can handle, so you can have 2497234749 slots if you wish.

You could, but I don't think anyone is going to accumulate 6,236,181,391,613,093,001 diamonds any time soon, mor do I think anyone could ever hold that many at once

Everybody's a comedian :D

I know the max amount of improvements you could EVER hold, but I won't tell, let's just say you won't really need THAT many diamonds.

How many damage points do each IWD add?
