Server Problems On Kingdoms...

I am not asking players...I am asking high Globals.

What is the deal? Could it be fixed by investing in a better server? If so then why doesn't Stefan/Unixmad upgrade and solve all of the many problems? I know they have money considering the prices we pay for accounts.

If you are refering to the server, there is nothing wrong with it. Mabey it could be faster, but it is fast as possable on T1 connection (I believe it is T1). If you mean the Npc server than well, I don't know. It disconnects itself because there is a problem in a script, or with the mudlib. So it is just a few tweaks to scripts and it is fixed.

You fail to understand that this is still at least in its beta stages. It's not 100% finished when it is it will be moved to a new server. So of course there will be crashes and or down time.

Of course, because they don't have to pay for bandwidth or to pay the salaries of themselves or the other employees of Cyberjoueurs. They have TONS! of money.

The server crashes all the time?

I don't see a problem with that ;)

If you think about it...people are paying to beta/play buggy games. Most betas I know are free. But this is Graal so nevermind.

The server probaply laggs because the comp neds more ram.
Stefan ment it has go 256 mb and it takes like 240 mb (the server).
Perhaps stefan could add more bars its not THAT expensive.

Your Darklux

I know like over 2000 people upgraded their account for like gold graal and VIP. That would be over 40k for vip and like 80k for graal gold.

If they do have tons of money I say they should get like T3 or higher. If they can...

Kamoo was being sarcastic...

RAM isn't that expensive, but there's much more to lag than RAM...Adding another stick may only prove to have minimal effects.

Beta? I could have sworn the last statement claimed Alpha.

Yeah, but normal players can no longer log into GBM to hang out when the server goes down. :(

I'm sure you do. Go off and play with Invisible Jane, now. It's okay, just because you can't see her doesn't mean she isn't there.

...if the connection was only a T1...that'd be sad

The npcserver runs well, doesn't take a lot of cpu time, also there is a lot of RAM not used. The connection seems to be good to europe (servers are in the USA), it's hard to test connection speed to all different ISPs. Only problem can may be that the client is slow when you have a bad gfx driver or so, we are working on speeding up the client (Graal v3)

Any news on how long V3 will be?
