An idea on conquer able isles

ok not going into a lengthy explanation since i included a .doc instead of a .txt and all my text got erased heres the brake down:
in this artical you'll find various idea's about the conquerable isle's and regular castles and wars. things that might not be in there have little fox holes and stuff buildable so archers have a safe place to fire. have castle walls buildabe and they can be destroyed (just for conquer isle not for main castle) same with gates as above have the ship building places buildable as well. thanks and read teh attachment for more details |
I like the idea, I also thought that there could be like...armored horses, for jousting and stuff :D

I like the general idea, too, but then again, why would an invincible horse need armor? :p

No, the armor gives you an ac bonus, since you're standing above a footmen, and he can't hit you that well.

What use is armor when you can't get hit anyway? If you add horse armor and lances, you have to make horses vulnerable...

So why dont add horse battle?

Nonono, you don't make the horse killable, because the person riding it is what you're trying to kill, thus, attacking the horseman will hurt the rider, duh...

I like Tyhm's idea, and getting back on a horse is somewhat difficult, and, of course, Tyhm is referring to being able to be damaged on a horse, correct?

That sounds good - any maybe missile weapons have a chance to get the full melee chance to unmount the rider depending on the distance?
So while a melee has 50% chance to unmount, a missie on the same rider has 40% in 10 squares, 30% in 20 and so on... And horse armor (which should slow the horse down, too) further decrease the chance of being kicked down... as well as providing armor for the rider |
Yes, missile weapons should get the full force, such as if you're on a horse and get shot, you fall off instantly, unless you get a special type of horse armor that let's you stay on it.

Hm... I thought about it the other way arround, but what about a combination:
melee attacks damage the rider plus have a chance to drop the him with (100-hp%) missile attacks deal damage as usual but their chance to unseat the rider drops with the distance - like (100-(hp%+squares distance)) - but they have a small chance (say 1/10) to tople the rider instantly. |
