King Kamuii, the People of Dustari wish to address your absence
I am sorry, King Kamuii,
Your absence is causing the Dustari people pain, lowering morale, and a problem within the Kingdom. Prince Tseng must act has King and Prince, the result is as if we have a King but no Prince. I must ask, either you become active, find a way, and take on the duties of your Crown, or please step aside, and appoint Tseng the rightful heir. I know Tseng prefers to be Prince, but the people of Dustari need a King, and one of the solemn duties of a Prince is to assume the thrown if needed. Thus, I ask you, on behalf of Dustari, and with direct support of many, and support of the majority who feel they are being abandoned by their King, I ask you, become active within 2 weeks (by April 29th), and prove yourself as King, or nobility step down, and set the duty upon Tseng. Whether you are unable to be active for one reason or another, your crown carries responsibility, and it must be fulfilled. I hope you can become active, and make us proud of our King, but I ask you to understand people are unhappy, and there is unrest, and you must step up if you wish to continue to hold the crown. Prince Tseng, please accept, that if Kamuii cannot meet the demands of the people, that you have a duty to accept the throne. I ask this of you Kamuii, because there is unrest, there is a feeling of betrayal, and for the Kingdom's sake I must ask this. I do not wish it, but it is so. Your Field Marshal, Padren Talisan Please, I encourage all Dustari to post your feelings, for or against, here on this solemn matter, please include your nick and rank when posting |
I have not been around here for a long time, maybe two months, maybe more, mainly because I've been playing other games, but I have returned only recently and I have now felt it time to say my thoughts on the matter.
Kamuii only has access which allows him to come online on Saturdays. Even then, he is usually busy doing other things. The King should be on as much as he can, and more than just one day a week for an hour. That is not the mark of a King. A lot of Dustarians, yes, that's right, a lot of Dustarians, want Kamuii gone. They are sick of him being inactive. Kamuii, I understand where you are coming from. I was a King who was not very active in his final days, and I stepped down because I knew that I was limiting the group with my inactivity. You have done this before, as many people who have been around since the near beginning, like myself, should know. Aftershock and I tried to remove you a year ago, last summer, and you wouldn't step down, and instead you removed us all. Don't do this again. Step down for the good of the kingdom. You cannot run this kingdom effectively, and if you continue to use the title of King, you are only drawing more and more criticism to yourself. When you were once confronted on the forums by your inactivity, your excuse was that Dustari had not taken the opportunity to remove you yet. Some of us are now. Please do not take my words as a representation of all Dustarians. There might be a lot of Kamuii supporters, but there are also a lot of people who want him gone. I have been inactive for a long time, but from what I've seen, nothing has changed from the day that I left. |
Re: King Kamuii, the People of Dustari wish to address your absence
Hello. I am known as Locke Frostwind, the Ice Mage of Dustari ..
I am not an elder of the Kingdom, that's for certain. I'm still young, and still new. .. but I know what goes on, and I know that now .. we have no King. We have a Prince trying to work two -- and sometimes more -- fold. In my time with the Kingdom, I have not seen you once. I've not even heard much mention of anyone even speaking with you. Most Dustarians don't even know who the King is .. I just want the best for our Kingdom, and if the best is your abdication of the throne, then so be it. The people of our Kingdom have been in great unrest as of late, and things are beginning to fall apart. Tseng, although a great man, cannot handle this alone. We Dustarians just ask that you do what is best for all of us. Thank you .. |
A Knight myself, I have never seen our lord, fair as he may be.
I've read threads, and seen the discussion, and it appears to me that Kamuii does not have the free time, and, thus, is not fit to be king of such a vast and expanding nation. Tseng is very involved in domestic issues, and alots much of his time to Dustari. I proudly support him. Knight Asht Knumb |
Kamuii is our king, Tseng is my friend, He should be King, Kamuii has not been around for a very long time, I hate the stress going around because of an inactive king. Kamuii Step down, or be more active, even if you come only on Saturday's it would be better then nothing at all.
|
Though, I <3 Kamuii (Ha, he probably will think I'm some doofus), I agree. It limits us to have only a Prince, though royal, deverses the throne.
|
I like being Prince.
I like Kamuii being King. He gets on when he can. He said recently that there's a chance he can get a gold account again. So, I'm hoping that pans out. Whatever Kamuii does, he does. I am not going to ask him to step down. In fact, I would far rather he stayed. Although he is not as "active" as people like, he is in my eyes the rightful King of Dustari. As such, I won't let any of you convince me otherwise. I do the best I can. And it seems to be working just fine. |
*shrug* Buy me a gold account, I'll be on more. It's not my fault weekends are my busy-time.
|
:\ I don't believe that is a good excuse, though you may not care. You can not tell me you don't have $35.

"WHAT? YOU WANT TO SPEND MORE MONEY ON THAT DAMN GAME?!" ;X Well, in <= 5 months I have my own credit card, so yeah. ;x |
Kamuii, you're missing the point here. The entire point of the argument is that Dustari thinks that you are inactive, you are inactive, and if you don't have enough resources to be King, then you shouldn't hang onto the throne. It'd be like me losing gold access, but still having the throne. It's almost comparative to your situation; when you can come on you're not. It'd be different if you were on when you could be, but you aren't. Just because you don't have gold access don't mean you can't make the effort. You could organize AIM chat room meetings, forum posts, polls on the forums, IM with high ranking members other than Tseng and your friends, et cetera.
If you're not making that extra effort to even try, then you shouldn't be King in the first place. As usual, not speaking for the majority of Dustarians here, just myself. |

Think -> Speak. |
Actually, I did think before I spoke, Kamuii. However, instead of meeting my points headon, you have chosen to insult.
I do think we should elect a new King. He is inactive. He does not have the means to be King, nor is he making the extra effort to be King. If that means Tseng stepping up and taking the throne, so be it. If it means Tseng remaining Prince and electing someone else (not me!), so be it. If that means a Queen taking over a provisional government for the time, so be it. However, I also value the majority, and in situations like these, I would be almost afraid to have a few people, with myself included, act without the true majority of the kingdom. Unfortunately, we can't possibly scope the majority of the kingdom via the forums; a lot people don't read them. So we'll have to decide someway. |
There won't be any other king while I'm prince.
Period. There are few enough people I respect enough to defer to. Kamuii is one of those. |
Question, how did Kamuii get a VIP account with no credit card? For being ex-manager of 2k1?
Anyway, all matters of that sort aside, I still think Kamuii should be king. Heck, we should all chip in and give him a gold account. |

If you don't believe you can become active in the weeks, then we'll hold elections, you'll step down, Tseng will win (I doubt if you chose to abide by the election, that he'd refuse to run, thus I think he will win.) And Kamuii, how long did you think you could be the absent King without it bothering people? Another month? Another two? I respect you, but this is causing Dustari problems. And it's not just 'me', I think the head of every branch has felt this is a problem, the Military, the Church, the Mages, (Haven't seen Zid to get the Navy's view), as well most most others. And Tseng, things have been okay up to a point, but I mean, if we were attacked on a Monday, it would take the King 6 sorry long days to even show up. People-I-Don't-Like have been heard talking about getting Stefan to overthrow BOTH you and Kamuii, and people I know and respect are actually listening to them, why? - because things aren't fine the way they are. I hope you can see this is a deeper issue, as I've tried to tell you, than you have thought to date. So, if it is true that Kamuii doesn't mind if we hold elections, then I say, we post a new thread: Choices of Kamuii or Tseng for King Anyone else who wants to throw in their hat in the ring post here, and in a day or two we'll make a thread to decide the winner, (not a poll thread, because it cannot be annomous without allowing non-kingdom members voting ability, we have to check accounts agianst the member list onlne.) I officially nominate Tseng. |
Kamuii, use debit card. :)

If the majority of Dustari believes that the King should be removed and replaced, and if Tseng will not take that role should Kamuii be removed due to the majority, then we should do something to please the majority, not hinder it. Whatever the majority outcome is, we should accept it for what it is. |
Alright
The big-super-ultimate Kamuii rule #1 is that Kamuii never steps down from anything. |
And Rule #2 of Kamuii is that he doesn't like Googi >:]
|
Kamuii, can you hassle an uncle, cousin, anyone to take $35 and upgrade you?
Getting gold would be the best solution, I hope you can. |
I'm not sure how busy Kamuii really is, but I'm sure a simple part-time job would net him the cash he needs rather quickly.
|
I know the feeling of not being able to use credit card over the net, once my 200 sum odd days are up, thats just it THEY ARE UP.
|
Well Kamuii, you've mentioned you're trying to get Gold, when do you think you can?
Do you figure you will be able to and get active within the next two weeks? How do you want to handle this? |

It could be a day, a week, a month, a year, or never. I honestly can't answer that question, hence why I rely on other people to upgrade my Graal account when it expires. |
Just tell them that in actuality, I'M the great Satan, and that I despise things bought over the internet and if they wish to remain devout they must defy my ways :P

If Tseng becomes King, then how about you become Dustari's Elder? Sometimes, for health reasons and such, a King may pass his crown onto his heir during his lifetime, and take on the role of a elder or guide, but no longer the monarch. He can then still confer with you, and benefit from your presence, but you will no longer be burdened with the demands you can't at this time meet. Does this sound amicable? |

Not Elder, Ponifex (sp?) it makes more sense.

Suits me better than King, really. |

Edit: The word is Pontifex: a memeber of the highest council of priests in ancient Rome. Ok, so that's not the word we're looking for, but in this book I read, the Pontifex took the role that I mentioned, and the Coronal was the king. |
I shall speak to Tseng about making this formal, I am glad a working solution has been found.
Kaiser, is a Ponifex a rank that's public, or a 'shadow rank' of sorts, where Ponifex may in fact use a different rank, but in secret is the Ponifex? I think the real power will rest with Tseng, but that Elder Kamuii will be consulted in times of doubt, crisis, or simply when sound advice is sought. |
It's a public rank, but the person works behind the scene, sorta, so as not to take away from what the King is/does.
