Alright heres the story

I was going to buy inferno sword for 18k from elken, i got littlerichie as our middle man, elken gave richie sword, then he gave me the swords, it was in my inv, i double click and it says Inferno Sword tasted good!?!?!?!?!

This also happend to zs0 he says. Either this is a bug or somehow richie got a food item to look like the inferno swords,

Stefan i want my inferno sword im not lying or trying to scam, i swear to god it said i ate it.

before i got it it was prepared so elken went to the water place and got it unprepared if that helps.

I dont know if this was the fake or real one, check if richie has it in his inv, if not its wasnt the fake one...

Elken admited to give me a inferno food which loriel made a few months ago and gave out.

I am very mad right now... i payed 18k for nothing

Stefan take the inferno sword off elkens account and give it to me, elken gave me back 10k but not 18k so either you give me enought plat up to 19k or you get me my inferno sword...

please stefan this kid admitted to scamming me.

I got a better way. No tax at all, and when the items are in the trade thing you can right click them to see their stats. :O

Stefan no there isnta way to securely trade, tax is usually 1k+ for good items, and im not willing to pay that much, and Loriel took the blame for this because of his stupid inferno sword food (Loriel is cool though)

Yes there is. You may not want to pay the tax, but that's your choice. Secure-but-expensive or cheap-but-unsafe. You chose the latter, you paid the price.

Also, why should trade-by-middlesman be any safer? YOu give him the money, the other gives him the sword - he runs off and you both got scammed... I don't see a point in that.
Anyway, as was said before, nobody owes you something, I'd even go as far as to say that it's a part of roleplaying to take care of your very own stuff. And there are safe ways, just as was posted before.

The big question is.

You see a picture of an inferno sword in safe trade.

You naturally assume it's an inferno sword, having no reason to believe anything else could have the same picture. You right-click it, and glance at its name, and it is not surprisingly named "Inferno Sword".

My objection is that he had no way of knowing that such a food inferno sword could have existed. Granted, he could have seen (food+X), but honestly, with so much text produced in the lower right hand corner, how easy is that to notice? Especially if you had no reason to believe such a sword existed in the first place?

Question: What exactly does right clicking it say the name of it is?

Does it actually say "food Inferno Sword" in the trade window?

Apart from the fact that the way they traded it is more than strange in my opinion - if there really way no way to see that the sword is food - i.e. that it doesn't show up in the right-corner-info, given they had tried to obtain it - then the whole thing is a little questionable indeed - but: the way I get it, elken knew that it wasn't the real thing. So there has to be a way to see it.

It had the Inferno Sword gfx and name
but for the statistics it said (food +?) instead of attacks: fire, physical, etc.

I dont know, but this inferno sword food lookalike looks just like the real thing, i never had knowledge of it, so i didnt bother to right click, i clicked fast, because i thought that the other guy would cancel if i took too long.

I dont know what everyone else says but i deserve one of the two things back, either 18k or inferno sword. i wouldnt have created a thread if i knew about the inferno food, but i never did, that was used against me.

I think it's your fails - you didn't know that there was a yummy version of that sword out there, but still you gave a lot of money, so I'd say yu should have checked what you're getting - what if it was cursed?

Taxe have been made to be part of the role playing system, if you don't want to use the secure trading then don't complain, because not only it's your fault but you don't help the role playing system.

Alright unixmad if thats how you feel, but i want to add one more thing, its not just me that doesnt use the trade system alot its about 50% of the graal kingdom community, but i do use the system for buying small types of things that cost below 100 plat, because the taxes isnt so darn high.

Tim26 was an innocent victim of someone's sick idea of a joke. You people saying "too bad" would NOT be saying that if you had lost your hard-earned 18k for a PIECE OF FOOD. Look, no one knew that there was an Inferno Sword FOOD. There never should have been one, in the first place. Why did it happen? Well, that's no longer important. What's important is that an innocent person (by innocent I mean that he had nothing to do with the creation of this item, nor did he have any knowledge of it) has been robbed of his 18,000 platinum coins.

If you want to tell me that's chicken feed, then you've got your head on backwards. Most Graalians never SEE that much money, it's not easy to get! Look, he deserves compensation for his loss. The reasonable thing to do would be to just give the boy an Inferno Sword. There, problem solved, case closed. Is that so difficult?

Tell me something. If you knew of a very rare item .. let's say for example, the Diamond Force .. and you intended to purchase it .. would you really have any doubt that it was anything but a Diamond Force? No, because there would be no reason to think that some fool would create an edible Diamond Force. You'd see the image, and think "That is a Diamond Force SWORD."

You people need to be more COMPASSIONATE and SYMPATHETIC. It doesn't hurt to understand what other people are feeling. If you were in his situation, wouldn't you want some sort of compensation? Look, this isn't some average scam, this never would have happened if a certain STAFF would have done his JOB and not made SCAM-HAPPY items. :\

About the trading, it's crazy. It's contradictory. One would use the trade window when buying expensive things, so it would be secure, and you don't need to worry about losing money. .. but the more you're paying, the higher the tax is, sometimes to ridiculous heights. Besides, who is this tax even going to? .. that's not the point, though. 'Point is, it's not secure, because no one uses it. It's not easy making money, and where people can save a few hundred (sometimes thousand) plats, they will.

That's my 33 cents!

The plats will be refunded since it was a trick he used.
But the trading window can help you a lot, you can even examine the item you want to buy (even if you don't use it to trade because you don't want to pay a few plats as tax). You can right-click on the item in the item trading window.

Tax should be removed from safe trade.

If you don't use safe trade, you get scammed by a person, if you use it, you get scammed by an NPC.
