Graal Money?

I've heard pretty much non-stop whining since the release of P2P and especially over this new "pay for a server" deal that may be introduced... I thought that maybe if we could add a section to the website/forums where we could get a vague idea of where money is being spent then people would realize that the expenses are valid and would whine less.
It wouldn't have to be by the dollar (or euro) and we don't need to know about every transaction the business makes, that would be rediculous... But maybe something like the average monthly expenses on hosting/utilities, perchasing new servers, employee hirings/firings and their approximate salaries?

Food for thought-

I don't think its a bad idea, but they probably wouldn't want to release that kind of info o.o
They could put a donate button on the same page if they did it though :P

Unix doesn't need to give out any information. That sort of information is confidential for ANY business, and asking for it, is a pathetic request.

But if your that bothered, ages ago when I was talking to Unix/Stefan he told me there are 5 full time members at CyberJ so that could have rose or fallen. So hes a basic list if your that bothered:

Domain Regestration
Domain Hosting
Server Hosting
Human Resorces Time (Stefan and Unix's free time)
Full Time Staff
Paying for good GFX on 2002 (Kingdoms)
Copyrighting Stuff
Buying these forums (had to at one point)
Connections for the servers

Cant think of anymore, but that doesnt matter, you get the point you ARE STILL getting grala service VERY cheap. If they wanted to make a profit off graal or wanted to make zero profit but no loss they would charge you ALOT MORE than it is now, so be grateful.

ahhh
Pay for a server means this.
You have some fake money you earn from how many people play your server or other things. This fake money goes to the monthly payment you pay. If you cant pay the fake money your playerworld is taken or in debt.

No no, I pretty much think it means you pay monthly for the server with REAL money, however, people can donate money to your server by selecting your server as the reason they upgraded their account. Thus, if your server is good, you could make enough money to pay for your server, and also have profit.

I don't know how much you would get from each upgrade, but it probably wouldn't be much... 2 dollars perhaps? Then say the monthly payments are 25 dollars... so you would need roughly 13 people to upgrade that month for your server. I'm just totally guesstimating this, these aren't actual prices and stuff, I'm just stabbing in the dark here.

So if you got like 20 people to upgrade that month, you'd get 40 dollars, 25 going to the server, leaving you with 15 dollars to spare. However, I would imagine it would be better to keep the money where it is, just in case down the road you don't get very many upgrades and you need that extra money to pay the bill.

In a sense, it's like phantom money, but I do think you're able to take it whenever you want, or something.

As for the whole "where is are F#%!#%# money going!?! ur just sitting on it and countin it and blah blah blah!!@%!" Listen up, Stefan takes cuts from his salary just to pay for the expenses they have each month, so don't sit here and tell me they are rich beyond their wildest dreams.

It costs a lot to have an office, have the multiple servers, have staff, have lawyers, have everything else they need to pay for. The online gaming business is hell to get into, and it's probably the last type of game you'd want to make. With normal games, they sell, and the company doesn't have to worry about it anymore, but online games, you have a service you're providing your customer, so you have to keep making new content, for years and years and years.

You know how much a good lawyer costs? A LOT. I'm sure they need one too, because I'm sure there have been players that try to sue them over the stupidest things. Wherever a paid service is involved, there's always going to be lawsuits. Plus they have to handle all the people that use stolen credit card numbers. I mean that money has to come from somewhere. Some guy gets your credit card number and buys a bunch of Graal accounts, you get reimbursed by your bank, but who reimburses the bank? Take a guess.
