Hotaru News and Future Events

Hotaru is now released! Hopefully the giftshop will be added again and once everything is up and ready, we will hold a big annual RP event, or just an event depending on how you look at it. It is called the phoenix festival, it will hopefully be held on this saturday but the time is not set yet.

The RP story behind this town is:
'a maiden, wearing a necklace of a flower that her family grows called sakura, prayed to the gods for help in making mankind better, as this maiden lived in the dark era. Then came a wandering swordsman from afar and saw the maiden weeping from her window, and fell instantly in love with her. In exchange for her love, he promised her that he will destroy the darkness, so they together will live in the shadows no more.
"I promise I will come back to you." He said.
The maiden waited for him for years... The swordsman, among many brave ones, destroyed the darkness, but he died during the war. The maiden was grieved, and stood on the cliff, and carved the part of her heart that belonged to the young swordsman. There was her bloody grave.
At last the sakura petals were falling, but winter has not yet end. The last petal was bloody, just like the story of the girl and the boy. Both beautiful but deadly at the end. The gods were touched by this tale and resurrected this town, bloomed by beautiful blossoms.
This festival is held in honour of these two"
(not that original I guess, but, yea)

During the festival, we would have different events, such as tournaments, but due to chaos, people will have to enter in pairs, and no more than 10 pairs are allowed to join. Other fun events such as raffling off event prizes, riddles, and maybe a beauty contest heh, and the such. There will also be a roleplaying event, where people will have to enter in groups and act out a scene. So look forward to these things :)

Also please feel free to comment or critisize (PLEASE MAKE IT CONSTRUCTIVE) about the town :) Also please thank Hurumi for all the help she's given me in making this town. She has worked just as hard (if not harder) as me in making this town and the town wouldn't be here without her.

Also an easier way will be added soon to get to the town (probably a free ferry)

I'll enter, but by couple do you mean in twos? or as in male + female couples?

Fish flopping on the ground doesnt look good, looks like a bug. Maybe some signs or something that says "Fishing Area" instead of just mindlessing putting fish on the beach, Or maybe have them rot or something.

Kaiser2 03-29-2003 09:04 PM

Yeah, a sign saying "fishing spot" would make more sense.

The best part is that there's no cliffs in Hotaru.

I did not accuse you, unless... you have something to hide?

Seems like every time I tell you about a bug or something you immediatly say its not your fault. x.x
