Graal messanger?
 

Ive got an idea. Maybe Stefan or someone could make a program like AIM. Where people from graal would be on a like I.M program and talk to each other like aim only this would be better. If someone wanted he could have a direct connect between 5 or 6 different people. For us graphic people it would make it a lot easyer to make graphic togeather. Also there would be a way to log on any graal server as a like rc only not an rc and talk to people the server but not actulay be playing. But you would also be loged on to the graal messanger survice at the same time to talk to other people.

Ooh that sounds nice, im sure it'd attract more players too.

Can't you just find a quiet corner of the server and just load up the client to talk? There are already enough IM services as it is.. sheesh.

Yes, we could make a messenger that lets you talk to people when they're on any Graal server, or even not on Graal at all, as long as they have any sort of Internet connection. Hell, we can put it on cellphones. It can let you send messages and any kind of file, in addition to a direct connection feature! Chatrooms! Multiple Linux clients! Hell, we can make it interoperable with a major ISP.

Let's give it a little yellow running guy for the icon, and name it AIM!

How about on the servers tabs, add another one "Chat". When you click the tab you see a chat for every server, a main one, and then some for "special" staff, graphic people, PWA people, and you can post messages, like on mirc, the welcome message or whatever. When you click a chat server thing to go on, a window-like-rc thing comes up, like a chat room. :O

Chat rooms can be scripted.

As for the type of system of which Tyhm speaks, I want to let it be known that one has existed on newmain (my own handiwork) for months.

Im still here and working on graal messenger .... i just need to wait for my laptop to get sent down to san francisco so i can compile the newest beta version and release it
