DarkDragoon_Lloyd 03-01-2003 08:25 AM

OK, you are now my god...

(I suck at GFX, so anything better than what I can do is awesome)

TrueHeaT 03-01-2003 10:28 AM

Looks like you're the new best graphics guy around here.

zell12 03-01-2003 05:24 PM

Well, I wouldn't say that. Zen, Huru, Soulblade, Auron, !Misfit/David, they are all great graphics makers, and thats just to name a few.

Mykel 03-02-2003 04:18 AM

very nice

alarid0 03-03-2003 05:31 AM

Looks good, all i'm having a prob with is the outline. Sure its a big project but that doesn't excuse the fact that it looks a little choppy. Over all nice overall work and choice of colors.

Nice GFX. It looks very Graal-like. The finished product should look good.

azuretek23 03-04-2003 04:23 AM

Ok im posting here for support and junk for your gfx :)
I like many of the graphics you have abeen making here (actually just about all of the gfx you made, your posts are the first i go to nowerdays) And they have all truned out great. But about this train.. Needless to say it is a very nice graphic, But i cant say i agree it is graal style. The shading technique is by far different, for one, and maybe the proportion is a bit 'off', you know? short and stubby, if you know what i mean (i know i dont understand myself so heh dont worry) I am expecting great graphics from you madwolf, you been posting very nice work here, keep it coming ;). Basically like this graphic i posted, i made it about 2 years ago. This says a graphic doesnt have to be graal style to look great

Thanks for the compliment. I see what you mean byu proprtion.. but the way I see things is that it is actually pretty small... if we were to look inside it could probaly only fit 1 graalian when a real train fits like 3 people. ANYWAY.. I was thinking of however making it shorter... like a more cartoony approach. We will see what happens. I finish the coloring and made right and left dirs.. im just starting on the front and back veiws.

I'm disappointed in the coloring. You started with a very nice outline and it looked very good. But you need to make more contrast in shading and you need to shade it from a single light source. In your image.. on the boiler some of the shading is coming from a down to upper right light source but then on the top its from a top to bottom right light source. Just choose one lightsource and stick with it.

azuretek23 03-05-2003 05:05 PM

well when its all done then people should comment on it...

We didn't declare you an official good gfx guy yet, did we? Wait your time, young one. ;D

Anyways.

I like the train, but I'm not sure if I like the coloring on it. But that's just me.

It was kinda small, but oh well. You are pretty good at gfx. O_o

Redwizard 03-06-2003 07:04 AM

heh

LordZen 03-07-2003 04:43 AM

Two suggestions:

Firstly, trains are man-made, and well you'd simply expect the outline to be a bit straighter, make it seem more mechanical. The lines go off at odd angles at some points for me.

Secondly, I cant say I like the coloring style. You should take into consideration that that train's front would be uh somewhat cylinder shaped. So the light wouldnt be hitting at all those angles so evenly.

Kinatt 03-07-2003 05:58 PM

I don't like people who draw, they are dumb.

but cool train!
