gmap help
Well I'm having some problems with using the gmap offline.
First of all I can't figure out how to get the gmap file it accept more then 1 typ of file name. Like new_j-09.graal I want it to be like a regular map as in use more then one level. How do I do that? Also when I use it, it makes the tiles darker then usuall and changes some tiles around a little. How do I get it to stop doing this? |
Im not very good on the subject, But I think you will find gmaps are basically one level and you just have to state the widths etc
But use that terraingen thing. |
Its simple really. When generating a .gmap from any generator save it as filename.GMAP (You MUST put in the GMAP by yourself!) With the 3D Generator or the normal generator youll get a slew of maps and a gmap. To load your GMAP from one of the levels just load up a generated level and put in the two following npcs
loadmap Mapnamehere; Notice there is NO .gmap.. Just the map name And addtiledef stuff.. Kay? |

Ok maby you dont understand what I want that dident work..
What I want is for the gmap not to load 1 thing of level generated level by the name of the level. I want it to work like a regular map.txt file. Meaning like it will connect any to levels to look like they are one big level no matter what their level name is. Also to use the 3d terain... |
well, ive used some gmaps so i might be able to help
i guess just put in the main level or whatever loadmap <mapname>; i think that makes it so the levels are connected cuz a gmap is just like terrain on a map but it still makes it like it used the setmap command |
No no what I want is on a regular map you can connect 2 levels like graalhouse.graal","graalmooto","
But on a gmap I have learned through text editing and through the terain gen program that it doesnt have a list of levels. Instead it connected them by the name saying levelsgen graal-04-d.nw meaning it connects a map 4 levels by 4 levels with the names graal-01-a.nw,graal-02-a,nw exc... Meaning if there was a level called graalhousesome.graal it would not connect it.... Now what I want is to be able to connect a map of levels no matter what the level name is(graalhouse.graal","graalmooto.graa;") and still be able to use the 3D terain between the 2 levels or more levels... with different names not level generatored made.... |
