Why does no one RP?
 

All you guys do is go to dungeons for hours, and then pk. Thats all. And in kingdom wars, all you do is kill people, not one bit of rping. Just run with your damn hammers and swords, bashing people. And people like boukon pking on tag, and he doesn't even rp, all he does is pk. My god, bomymoon is better then this crap. The server was designed for rping, yet stefan turned it into a clone of every other game. Level up this, level up that. Kill this kill that. There is nothing that involves rping on the server at all.

P.S.: Kick boukon out of samurai. :)

yes it may have kingdoms but people don't wanna waste tghere time roleplaying when they could work to get COOL ITEMS and get more powerfull, in my view it's just like ragnrok except it calls itself roleplaying.

Well, Graal is supposed to be a Roleplaying game. And most servers arent, so some are designed for that. I just don'ter unterstand why stefan is doing this. Giv ethe kingdoms back to graal2001 and we can rp there

Kingdoms already has kingdoms back, people just apear to enjoy killing monsters more

No, on Bomymoon that got new kingdom names. It sucks. If stefan wants a clone of some other game, he should get his own new names for kingdoms and let bomymoon have the orgional ones back. =/

I'd even like to see peaceful/battle changed to PKmode and RP mode. Both are the same, except on PK mode you can kill eachother, but cannot wear a tag for a kingdom. On RP mode you have your tag on, and if you pk you will be banned for a bit or just thrown out of a kingdom. I'm sure this could work out, and on both modes you gain same amout of exp. =/

This idea rocks, and add that you don't gain extra exp if you're on PK mode.

Yeah, its it really sucks being killed, losing all your stuff, when your just trying to get exp in dungeons :( And you still lose your shovel for some reason x.x

To (Hopefully) answer the "Why no rping on kingdoms" question... If there is pking there is not rping. When valikorlia had no pk rules we almost lost rping.. idiots would run into an rp and beat the fudge out of the rpers. I dont know why people ask the question... Its like asking why your oil and water wont mix. =/

Anyway, I think my two modes would work :O

No one wants to role-play because they want to get "cool strong" intangible stuff and say "omg i am sew strong lol"

How can people roleplay, Stefan/Unixmad nor anybody with slighly adminish power, creates RP storys and timeline of events, hell they don't roleplay either. There should be a MAIN kingdom, which is just made up for 2 or 3 Admins that roleplay as a number of characters, following a scripted Roleplay event. Throwing up mediocare (sp?) events and updates isn't going to tell people, we can RP on this game!

That game nolonger calls itself A MMORPG its A MMOCG(massive-multiplayer-online community game) Atleast thats what gamespot says.

I may not always be doing some huge RP, but seeing as how my character isn't human, I make sure to take into account how he'd react to certain things...(like falling in water...bleh..) So I'm somewhat in character.

I see no reason to with massive powergamers and nothing to do other than level up...I'll just wait till it gets good and a restart accures.

Timed events is the key...such as, release tons of creatures in a certain area and all of the players have to form together to defeat them, or stuffs like that...

I think it would be harder to RP on 2002 just because of the more complicated nature. There are always NPC baddies attacking you everywhere, the movement feels strange, You are forced to eat, etc.
On 2001 pretty much everything is controlled by you. Everyone has the same "stats" and you can change your appearance with typing. It's quite a bit simpler.
(I don't mean any offense to 2002, it's pretty good. Except for the food meter. BAD IDEA.)

They should take out the food meter, and put in endurance
Which could limit hours and hours in dungeons slashing and slashing Like swinging sword and running around alot lowers endurance, standing still can regen it slowly but sleeping in beds can raise it 2x faster. Of course when ya get to 0 ya automaticly fall asleep. But thats what I think.

Or just take out the food meter and replace it with... nothing.

This is a good idea, but imagine this situation:
a player is attacking a T-Rex, he suddenly goes to sleep, and dies.
*slash*me*slash*tired*weak slash**falls to floor*zzzz*is eaten by a T-Rex*

alot of you complain about RPing but if you want to change the way RPing is done then RP yourself. Maybe you will start a trend?

The problem is that RPing would be mostly in toguilds or in direct contact with people you know, see, no one will observe that you are RPing, and things stay as they are.

And the fact that no staff does Roleplay storyevents. There needs to be a Main Kingdom but only ruled by RP Staff (That can change and add things in the levels and maybe mudlibs)

There was an idea for like "Council of the RP Admin" sorta thing, dunno if that'll ever fall through though.

And as for the role playing...well, nofthing could be said because we all LOVE TO SPEND HUNDREDS OF HOURS PRESSING THE FRICKING S BUTTON AND REACH GODLY LEVELS SO WE CAN BEAT THE **** OUT OF EVERYONE.

Its up to the players to roleplay not the staff, imo

If you want others to roleplay then you roleplay. Just because Infinite is 24 doesn't mean you need to be 24. RPing doesn't have to be about fighting it can be about other things but if you want to be the ULTRA l33t Fighter RPer you have to work for it. Infinite did just that. If you want to RP ignore NON rpers whatever you want to rp, It's your fault for letting someone else control what you do. If you want to Roleplay a nice farmer then do so, that doesn't require any fighting at all and you can be on peace so no one can kill you. If you want to Roleplay a General then do that, You don't have to be able to Massacre half the population to be that. Everyone who is complaining is basically saying I can't roleplay because no one wants to roleplay with me, well you guys need to start roleplaying even if no one else is and sure enough someone will start roleplaying with you, Another MMORPG I know of which has about the same player base as this, does enforce it however it's still the same basically, its up to the players in the end if the players don't want to roleplay then the players WONT roleplay NOT up to the staff, its up to YOU.

So take some damn affirmitive action and do it yourself, if all of you who have complained do this then im sure there will be a following.

I helped Alex to get a foothold in the server, and he helped Infinite, so without me, he'd be nothing :P or at least slightly weaker, lol

RolePlaying is not having some godly character that slashes one person and they die. It really depends on the character you are. =/

Very true, but many people revlove around power as their RP character.

One thing: Don't yell at kingdom leaders when people aren't RPing x.x
I do my best to try to make it so people will follow RPing rules, but I can hardly FORCE them to RP. If you want to RP, do it yourself and don't expect someone to do all the work for you all the time.
