Put-Downs and Other Forms of Harassment
Good Evening,
I am posting this because I am really disgusted to see all the negativity that goes on here. None if you is any better than anyone else, and being mean and rude does not accomplish anything but upsetting people, and I don't understand why a lot of the people here feel the need to upset others. I am sorry if you don't agree with me, but this forum is supposed to be a place for positive interaction between the players of Graal, and, to date, the environment has not been conducive to such interaction. When people have to worry about being flamed for making a post, then it has gone too far. Feel free to flame this post if you wish, but it is only a display of ignorance, because I only speak the truth. I am not saying that the forum should be a place filled with angelic harmony where everyone gets along perfectly, but I really do think that some of you should concentrate on your own flaws instead of pointing out those of others. |
I completely agree.
But being in a general forum, flaming will go on. I know we cant just stop flaming completely, but i agree that it has gotten outta hand. Forums that dont have a large amount of flaming include all the others besides General.. |
Also.......
This thread does not apply to everyone, a lot of the people here do try to keep a generally positive environment going for recurrent visitors and new members alike. :)

I simply cannot agree with you more Brandon. :D

Ahem
Click on "Announcements" Look for an Announcement that's entitled "RULES" Guess what? I get to enforce them. And I am. Since I'm a moderator. And I haven't seen a huge amount of putdowns in the recent couple of weeks. (Perhaps because there is a decline in the board population.) |
Okay........
I am not contesting the fact that you are in the position of enforcing the rules. However, I am very outspoken when I come upon something that I disagree with, and this is one of those instances where I refuse to be quiet about it any longer.
|
Brandon, even if I DID agree with you, it's not really your call to say what this board is about and what goes on. You barely even post. I mean, if someone like... oh, say Sniperjoe, for example, said this, I might respond with more than this. But come on.

News flash: People are mean on the internet
|
new flash: PEOPLE are mean.
|
Posting................
What difference does it make how many times I have posted? I read every post I find interesting. Just because I don't reply doesn't mean I don't know what's going on here. I will start replying to more posts. And yes, people ARE mean on the internet. Some people are mean period. But that doesn't mean it's okay and that doesn't mean it's right.

This isnt real life, so smart asses go on as they please if it was real life they would be at the dentist alot I can tell you that....
People feel safe when they make fun of people over the internet... Its cowardly but thats how things happen..... Tell you right now if we all met each other in real life people wouldnt dare smart ass or call people names because they know they will get there ass kicked. |

Hiding Behind the Internet......
Yes, that is what I've been saying all along. People hide behind the internet and feel safe.

You know how TwiZtid always brags and says things like "if I MET U IRL I WULD KIK UR AZZ BOTCH!"? well, if his picture on IceHawk's site is how he really looks, I doubt he could defeat a number of people here that are in shape. Don't get me wrong, some people are just as tough in real life as they are on the internet, but about 50% or more of them just aren't. |
=)..........
This has actually turned out to be a pretty productive thread. =D I will start replying to more posts so that I can be considered an active member of the forum. I'm happy that an actual discussion can go on here.

The fact is no one would dare say all of the things they said in the past if this was in real life..... They would be to scared
