Right now i lack on ideas... for my server Necris

i call it New Necris but its going to be called Necris....

Im going to add a desert but im not so sure about snow?


Both or only one of those? if so what one and why?

:grrr: my levels of old necris are gone. I wont explain why becuse u can maibe think why.

Ive thought a litte about kingdoms and some works i could use...
thankyou, i except negative comments about my server but i would like you to explain urself then and how it could be improved, ive got some ideas... but im not good ideas so please people give me some ideas...
It can be ideas on everything, jobs, ideas of what you can have in kingdoms, special citys or just special features

edit: Thats about 230 levels and i dont count inside levels then so it will become over 250 levels... maibe 300/340 depends...

What I like...

I like the forest part it's going to give it a little bit of a zelda feel when walking through them.

What I don't like...
Those little worm strands of mountains. They don't seem right at all. You may want to redo them or get rid of them completely.

The forest on the bottom right of the map don't look right either. It looks a bit awkward. You might want to add some more parts to it or maybe add a quest or town near it so it doesn't look so awkward.

Everythign else seems fine. I would suggest things to make but you said you don't know how to script so I won't bother.

I agree, those mountains seem pointless. They would only get in the way..

give me the ideas ive got some scripters, thought i need some also X_X

I would end this project right now if I was you. Well, at least don't show anyone on the forums x_x. Continue it, and get alot (ALOT) better, then return later. I cannot begin to say the faults with the map and everything you said, and some things can only be taught with experience.

No, it was not an arrogant comment. Simply by your spelling, I can tell you are not ready for a good project yet. I said what I did because that PW stuff looks terrible, a very simple level generated map. Plus, you are asking people to give you ideas...do you even have any of your own? It looks like it is going to be worse the most of the bad rip off servers which occupy about 9/10 of the playerlist.

I can tell your experience simply by the way you post, what you posted, and the levels I see in the map. By those things, I can see you are extremely inexperienced. As for me, well its not good to judge one's self, but I would say I am above inexperienced. I have enough experience to know that you should work on your skills for a while before trying to make a PW.

The "bad" thing is I would've said the same thing Soul Blade said.

Heck let him figure out on his own that he's wasting his time with something he can't achieve. Maybe he'll learn something from it? :\

Why do i think it was wrong to pay a acount so i could post at the forum and get insuls becuse i had to learn english maibe a "little" harder and it maibe was a "little" more harder for me to learn it becuse i have a disease.


Ok, this is what ive learned, if you dont have a good grammar dont post at the forums, dont be on graal,dont make a server and judge about the grammar and spelling, ur also aloud to spam on the forums.

Soul had a point. You have to have good grammar skills to even think about managing a successful playerworld. Given, your first language isn't english, but that doesn't make you unable to manage a playerworld. It's not discrimination, it's a matter of being understood and being able to get things taken care of. It takes a lot of maturity and assertiveness. If your workers cannot understand you, how are they going to know you want them to do?

And, on his other point, about you not being experienced enough, from what I have looked over, he's right. You don't look to be too knowledgeable about how things work online, and more in-depth level/npc things. It's not that hard of a concept, but anyways. Work for other servers, polish your skills, and learn a few new branches of development so you won't be totally clueless.

One of the advantages of gaining experience is sort of what Konidias is doing: He can do three necessary developmental things above par, which gives him somewhat of an advantage over other playerworld managers/creaters. He knows how to script well, can make nice levels and graphics, which enables him to build up his creativity and get his ideas flowing.

This is partially the reason you have no ideas. No need to get your panties in a bunch and ***** at us because you don't like the advice we gave.

It wasn't arrogant, it was straightforward and truthful. I seriously recommend listening to what he and I said.

dont worry about the graal Coumminity u can never please them any way no matter how hard you work.Just keep working on ur project doesnot make it you'll prolly learn more stuff to help other pw's out that need it.

x.x i think ive actuly gained enought experience, thats just what i think. i atleast learned diffrent level styles and ive learned some more scripting now, but im going to learn slow becuse i think its pretty hard to anderstand what some of the letters/sumbols mean but im learning.

Uhm...

• You need to...
• Have a moderate understanding of the scripting functions and how they work and what they do online and offline. This is imperative so that you can read code and understand what it does, even if you wouldn't be able to script/rescript it.
  
• Know quite a bit of stuff about NPC-Server (What causes it to lag/screw up, how to prevent that, etc.)
  
• Know how to lead many development projects, coordinate them successfully, etc. It's a lot more than "knowing level styles and how to work rc."

If you want more in-depth advice, go talk to some managers if they aren't busy.

Ok, listen syltburk:

I am a really good scripter, I don't like to brag but people tell me I am. I have gotten lots of very high jobs on Gold servers. But, before I didn't start working there. You have to work your self up through "experience". It is ok if you can't speak perfect english, but you should learn it better. Stick with one server, it doesn't matter which really, and work your way up until you have complete respect from all the staff. Then you will be able to work yourself up to the next level.

All this could take a couple months to a year. But, if you want it you'll more or less have to do it this way. You don't have much of a choice. Most Gold\respectable servers aren't going to higher you if you don't have experience.

Now I know what you want isn't to work for a Gold server, you want to be a manager. So, what your going to have to do is:

• Learn every part of graal development atleast to where you can compete with everyone.
• Get much better at your english communication skills. This might even be the hardest one for you to do, but you'll have to do it.
• Try to get much more experience in leadership roles, anyone that you lead people will do.

Too bad that doesn't apply to all playerworlds :(

I'm not trying to start a fight in another message arc,lol, anyway MY opinion is that most servers don't need snow and desert.. I mean, I've seen server that are like 120 levels with snow,desert,and regular, wtf? They wouldn't all be soo close up..
For snow: You'd have to make a HUGE mountain to put snow on.. Snow goes on mountains that are more than 1k miles up iun real life..
For desert: You'd need to create some kind of story leading to why the desert came in the middle of this regular place... I mean, a desert won't just appear in a grassy place all of the sudden..

But of course... This is my opinion, therefore I doubt anyone will listen to it...

I think there should be more desert gfx and more beach gfx. Some more bushes too.
