Idea concerning events and ET.
 

I think that ETs should NOT have to pay for their events.
It's just silly.
Instead, I propose 2 systems.

1.) Just let all ETs use from the donation cup. As it is now, only ET Admin can take from there, and last I used to play, ET Admin didn't even have to hold events. That doesn't make sense-why give the events money to a person who won't hold events?

2.) Have a system like Maloria and some other servers do.
The money is generated by the npc server and automatically added to the winner.
Maloria has coins and an et only has to say "Addcoin 'accname'" and the player gets coins.
You could have a similar system with gralats.

Also we need some kind of a warp system to take people to events.
Kinds I know of existing are
Maloria uses a way of 'setevent' which makes a menu pop up for the ET, the ET chooses an event and that event appears at the bottom of the screen in a text box. If you click the text box, you're teleported to an event.
Or you could do it like Babylon-give people ET warprings. Though with the setting of GBMs events, it might lead to abuse of just warping all around the server.

Also, GBM should stop treating ETs like crap. They get nothing. Absolutely nothing.
You say they don't need staff toys. But that doesn't mean they should get NOTHING.
I mean, they're the only staff that actually PAYS to do they're job.
They should get something. Some staff toy of some kind-be it simple ganis. Something.

The ET cup should allow all ETs to take money from it, as long as it is not abused. :|


I don't see why you would really want a staff toy though. :/

So that they get SOMETHING for being ET.
FAQs should get something too.
Both ARE staff, both DO help the server.
Both SHOULD get something for it.

I'm a FAQ, but I could really care less about a shiney NPC that others don't get access to. They are volunteer jobs that you do because you want to.

I would rather get something that would help me do my job.

Anyway, I like the first idea. I don't think you should really be rewarded for being an ET... but you shouldn't be punished.

Maybe each ET could have a weekly amount they could use, say 30g a week. Anything they don't use is drawn over so eventually they could have a mega event, per say

ET is the lowest level of the staffer, they shouldn't have access to 100,000 gralats. That's why we have (Staff) (Manager) and (Events Admin), to withdraw that money.

ETs and FAQ dont need anything. I find those two jobs as a step in a staircase.

You start off with ET and the FAQ goes "Wow that ET is cool, lets hire him". Then when you're FAQ Police goes "Wow that FAQ is cool, lets hire him". Then you might get a Development Job.

Then you might get admin. I remember when people like Googi and Chris were little FAQs that noone knew. I remember when CheeToS was the random guy who sat in the admin house. I remember Jeff when he was on the NPC Scripting Team.

The only thing FAQ might need is a pre-defined warpto (like the police) in differnt hotspots.

Like lets say this person has a problem and he needs a visal explaination... the FAQ would have to walk there to teach/show him.

I think events shouldn't give out money prizes.
Instead there should be a point system.
The points you win from events could then be traded for prizes at some sort of prize house located throughout the server.
The prizes would be fun NPCs or things like that. (could also add extra hp but you'd need a lot of points).
Also if they really want they can have a money trader where so many points equal so many gralats.
Would solve the money problem somewhat.

woo, a lot less walking.

It's not supposed to be used so you have less walking to do.
It's to be used if someone needs you at one of those locations so you can get to them quicker.
I'm pretty sure it will be logged so Googi can see if your abusing it and remove it.

I know. I meant it wouldn't take as long to reach a player when they needed something instead of having to wait thirty second, using unstick me, riding the Draisene, and what have you.

We have already been told that if we abuse it then we will lose it or be fired. I don't plan on using it off tag or using it excessively on tag. :|

And, it'd give people more reason to play events instead of working, since they not only can earn gralats, but prizes, NPCs, and other cool things....

PS: Qualified ETs get a limited warper. ;x

Theres a good chance somebody stupid would steal from it -_-

Then we'd end up having to reset the server again, it will be ruined if no money is taken out, and more and more is just added constantly.

They can get the ET device, which isn't very common though.

Note to FAQs and people wanting to be FAQ.

There is a FAQ device that alows you to warp to certain areas like Ian mentioned along with a FAQ hat I recently made (just a fools cap recolor which also has "FAQ" written on all sides) but I gotta get Jeff to script it so only FAQ and Chiefs get it then upload it or something *suxing scripter, doesn't know how these things work*

On another note...only certain FAQ that Googi or myself think worthy both labour and trust wise get the FAQ device =p

As for the ETs...option number 2 is dandy and all but it would sort of screw the economy and for option number one...how about the ETA just gives the ETs gralat from the cup when they are both on so he could ensure ALL is used for the upcoming event the et is going to hold.
