Will Graal Terrain Gen be released to the public
 

Question for Unixmad?
Will the Graal terrain generator ever be released to the public or at least to the VIP Members?

I have been talking to Stefan about the use of 3d terrain in upcoming Playerworld Projects.
He told me it’s allowed in upcoming Playerworld projects, if the graal2002/2001 tile set and Graphics are not used.
I then asked him did he know anything about the releasing of the terrain generator to the public. He told he doesn’t know anything about that and its not up to him to make that decision.

If he says only for upcoming projects that don't use 2k2 graphics I assume he indicates that he wants someone to present their own graphics made, but who knows.

I think it will probably be released eventually. Remember all classic playerworlds had that old tileset for a long time, and then when 2K2 was almost ready the 2k1 tileset replced the old default one on all classic pw's. Possibly when they have something new (graal3d maybe?) they'll release terraingen, and other stuff with it so classic playerworlds can catch up in quality (maybe?).

I think that it will be released soon, when most of the Graal2002 things are done. By that I mean its a really big community that wont need updating too much.

I also agree and think it will be included in download when 3D is released.

So has about 7.5/10 people on here. He just wants to know when its going to be put into the public download.

i don't see why people publically say they have it when it's considered illegal to have unless you have been given it by stefan

Where is everyone getting the terrain generator from? I don’t think Stefan is the is the source to all this.:confused:

Where did everyone get the NW Files from? Same place, Im sure it started as a leak, then like everyone had it.

It probably won't be public, but in order to use it, you must ask stefan.

I don’t know where everyone is getting the idea that Stefan is in charge of dispensing
tools like the terrain generator. I believe if it was up the Stefan to dispense tools like the
terrain generator they would be a lot easier to get a hand on. I have talked to Stefan before I made this forum and he gave me the impression that it’s more of unixmads diction then his.

It’s probably because graal is been hosted on Uinxmads computers so he gets a bigger say in the matter of dispensing tools. I would love to ask unixmad for the terrain generator but he never really checks on the forums or never goes onto any graal Playerworld/Servers.

Would it be possible if someone that has the terrain generator, makes me a gmap that
Would support 20 levels by 20 levels that would support levels called “ medieval “?
Or it would be a lot better if I had the terrain gen my self but I some how doubt that will ever happen Lol:-)

Great news everyone, I got a reply pm from Stefan saying.
“We will release the terrain generator and dungeon generator and things in a few days. “

I don't know how many times I've publicly stated my possesion of it but then again, I don't have anything to be overly concerned about, do I? ;) Stefan knew long ago I had it because I told him and showed off what I was doing in hopes of gaining some approval in my current project. :D
