.PNG doesn't work...?
I just made some tiles for fun, and I want to see if they look good, so I saved them as a .png and tried to open them with graal, but nothing happened, the NPC just stayed the same(with the outline of the thing as a graphic)...
I saved it as gif, and it loads fine, but the colors are all messed up and it looks like crap  Anyone know how I can get my png to load? I wanna post my tileset...:grrr: |
1)is it the same size as the tileset?
2)is it 256 bit? 3)is it a valid PNG extension? |
Um if you saved it as gif using MS paint the color problem is a result of...*drum roll*...using ms paint to save it ;) it doesnt support that file type to well.

Ocationaly Graal wont read some programs .PNG export, one of programs is Corel Photopaint (whatever vertion)
The best thing to do is, save it as a .gif (not in paint though, like another program) and drag it into the mng to png exe in your graal folder. It makes the .gif (transperencys and all) into a png, and if animated, it makes it into an mng. All the files that come out are useable in graal program, since .gif's are 256bit anyway |
if you're using photoshop, make sure you choose "save for web" instead of save as, and choose "PNG-8" from the menu on the right
