OMI MAI MONSTER x.x
Are you one of those people that think firest person to hit it "owns" it or do you think first to kill it, well, kills it? o.O
|
No one knows monster NPCs, and I hate people that act like they do. Although, I admit it IS annoying when someone steals your T-Rex kill.
|
If someone steals my kill I just say "haha you gots lucky" and I go kill more :) I don't like people who cry over losing 800 exp points.

No, cos if you made it like the "keep" scheme, then no-one would be able to help others in dungeons =(

It is very hard to know when somebody needs help in this game. In other games i've played which I won't name here it was obvious who needed help and when. It just isn't so in graal. Anyhow if they truly need help and know it they should be in a party. |
Hit it -_-
I hate when you beat down a monster to like 1 hit then some ***** runs along and hits it and steals your kills and items. |
Go do it to him then.
|
hit it. It is not fair when level 11+ people own the dungeons for themselves. Give people a chance to get kills and don't steal it. If they try to steal somethings from you, you can do that a couple times.
|
maybe once it's down to half health. So people dont go through and hit monsters one time and then hide in the dungeon to get exp as other kill it
|
It's really just an unwritten law. If you want to be a bastard, steal someones kill. If you don't, then don't.
It's not illegal, and it shouldn't be. I mean, the game is about player interaction. At some point in time, it's good to have some friends that will back you up or help you out. If you go around taking kills from people, stealing from people during trades, being annoying, harassing people, etc. People will remember, and eventually you will earn a bad reputation. Obviously if everyone here knows about the "you took my kill" thing, then everyone knows that it sucks to have your kill taken, so don't do it, and you won't be the person that other players despise. (unless you want to be that person) edit: By the way, I believe in calling kills, but only if it's obvious, like, you're all alone and you're attacking a monster, then it's obvious you're handling it. But if there are a dozen monsters around you, you can't claim them all. I know I used to do the same thing. I'd go into a dungeon and want to kill all the monsters by myself, and I'd get mad when people would come into the dungeon and start fighting too, but that's just being greedy. |
Personally I don't think it should be either, but rather how much HP you took away from the monster (sorta like FF8) just no bonus for being the one to get the last hit, but maybe one for taking the most HP.
|
Leave it as it is.
If you go "first to attack it owns it" then people will go into a room filled with baddies and either systematically slash each one so they own them all (and take their time killing them) or they will use magic spells to own large masses of enemies. |
Why is this even a problem, I mean, there are a lot of monsters to go around.
|
The problem is that either someone beats a monster down to 5% health, and someone else attacks it and gets the exp; or someone claims all monsters in the dungeon to belong to him and gets upset when others take them.
|
I usually help newbs kill monsters in the T-rex dungeon

Around 750-800 for people at level 13, double that if your on battle mode. I'm sure the people around level 5 get a ton of exp for killing trex.

how about split it up so teh dmg you do is the % of exp you get from the kill so if a monster has 1000hp and gives 100exp if you do 100dmg you get 10exp.
or vise versa 100hp and 1000exp you do 10dmg you get 100exp. |
