If you're going to introduce guns on 2k2, then two things need to be done

Highly inacurrate (It wont go straight, it'll go in a random angle)
Slow reload (You'd have to put in the powder, soak the patch, ram the ball, and light the fuse.

Materials needed would be like 4 iron, 1 diamond, 2 gold, one cloth.

Then I believe that a good supply of sulfur and balls would be needed o.o

Yes... the earilest guns were simple mechanics in when when you pressed the trigger it made a thing spin which had a smoking piece of rope on it.

It was so that you could shoot when and where you wanted to. Because back then, all Guns were... were small cannons.

2k2 is a middle ages type server...

Cannons are as far as they should go. There's a point to cannons, but I can't see a point to guns really.
And your argument is like saying if they had zepplins it's okay to have rocketships XD

What's the point of the cannon? There isn't one, they could've put ballistas on the ships and it would've been fine.

Guns do not mean it's Era... Era is Grand Theft Auto 2. If you say that using a gun is stealing from Era, then Era stole from 2230
