recruiting system

Okay I was thinking of having a new type of system when recruiting people for military/magic users, and priests but arwen has offered with that one :p
We are going to follow a point system. Points are scored if you meet a certain requirment. If you pass a certain number then you qualify to be in Dustari(for the division). Rp test will also be done. This way, someone who scores more points may end up having a higher position, but we can take anyone out if their RP skills are horrible ;x

so far:
Military
.5 points for each level.
1 for each physique level.
1 – 4 points for RP skills. Awarded as seen fit.
1 point bonus for lvl 3 magic+, 2 for lvl 5+, 3 for lvl 8+
Point added for each speed level. ((3.5speed= 3 point))

12 point min.

Mages
1 point for every 10sp after 30.
1 point for each magic level.
.5 point for each physique level.
Point added for each speed level. ((3.5speed= 3 point))
1 – 4 points for RP skills. Awarded as seen fit.

10pt min for pass.

Example.
Lavinie Dreamswater is a level 6 warrior(3pt). She is level 4 physique(4pt) and lvl 3 magic.(2pt) She goes as fast as 3.2(3pt rounded off) and her charismatic personality allows her to roleplay efficiently.(3pt) o_o
she scores 15 as final mark. 12 is min, therefore i guess she passed if she tried out for military.

This is still something new and waiting to be tried out, so maybe errors can be found. So feel free to try this out on yourself if theres errors please state. If anyone has any suggestions I would want to know. =)
[thank you for canada's immigration system! lol]

looks good, it's unique, and it's not boring like 'just get above level 6 and you are in' like other kingdoms have

Will the priest system be the same as the mage system? But with grace over, say 20, and wisdom levels?

Military
6.5 - lvl 13 overall
12 - lvl12 physique
3 - lvl 9 in magic
3 - speed of 3

total=24.5 + 1-4 for RPing

Magery
1 - 44 spellpoints
9 - lvl 9 in magic
6 - lvl12 physique
3 - speed of 3

total=19 + 1-4 for RPing

I'd prefer to be a necromancer, even though I'm apparantly better suited for the military...

I hope you're kidding with the speed? Barely anyone has 3.0 + speed.

RP should have more of an impact, and I think the point requirements are a little strict.

well this is sort of a bonus...its really hard to fight if your speed is uhh say 1.

How about 1-6 pt for RP. Anyway, it's not like i HAVE to let you in just because you scored a 30, rp skills count as well. If you can't RP at all I can deny your entry :p

What would you say if I used to have 2 speed, but I died and lost 1 dex, and a bug screwed my ring of dex+2 speed+2 into a ring of adornment so I'm down to 1.466 speed? >.>

I would say tell Stefan about said bug, and ask him to restore your ring. :)

As long as such things as levels and speed aren't required for nonmilitary jobs.

Yes, only military and the such. The nonmilitary jobs will have more of an emphasis on RP skills and the such, as battling skills would not be a major need. :)

Of course, you shouldn't be a "High Scribe" if you don't have the writing skill, per say =)

<-- 1.3 speed
