GoZelda 01-30-2003 09:14 PM

zell12 01-30-2003 10:01 PM

Its impossable to improve your castle. I normal castle would cover 4 levels at LEAST. Scrap it and make a new one :)

No,that means he must improve more in his levels.

azuretek23 01-31-2003 08:07 PM

well first off... try to put some accents... things that are just "plain" suck... second try to add trees and stuff around the castle to make it look better :) the castle itself is never going to be "awsome" you need to put it in the right surroundings...

Honestly, you made it worse x_x But, what you should do is try to fill up more of the area inside of the castle walls, like the actual FOUNDATION and BUILDING of the castle, so you don't have a giant wall foundation but nothing but grass it's protecting.

*pops in*

There is no set rules on how to rate a level, and you only said:

Please rate this castle out of 10.
:)

GoZelda 02-01-2003 12:57 PM

is said rate the castle, not what's around it ;)

Schaekel 02-01-2003 03:16 PM

anyways

A castle is much bigger and has more details

On the Castle, there is no line running down the top part. That isn't really a tile error though :\

Did you pass the first grade? Title and post says rate level. Not whats wrong or how to make it better.

My advice? You could try to make it actually look like a castle. Right now its just a big pile of crap. If you go with the ice tiles you might be able to pass it off as an igloo. :p But castle nope scrap it and redo it. I recommend going to your local library and doing research on what a castle really looks like. Or an easier method. Searching the internet. Me when I go to make something and I need inspiration I go to the library and draw diagrams of what I want and how I want it to look. Then I close my eyes and visualize the tiles and see what tiles go best where. Most often times I try to get the colors because if you know what color you want a certain area to be its easier to decide what tiles to use. :)

Rating: Not a castle 0/10

The depth perception is all messed up. Front wall needs to be as high as the back wall. Needs alot more detailing and work but its closer to a castle than the previous level

Okay, redid it partly

Marukamu 02-19-2003 02:34 AM

Sorry, but it's not much of a change for the good. It could pass for a small fort, though. Here are a few tips:

* Castles are very big. For a Graal castle, it should take up at least a 2 x 2 sqare of levels. That would be a corner in each level.
* Castles tend to have thick walls.
* In the 'yard' (I'm calling it a yard, because I can't remember the actual name for it), the only partd that are cobblestone are the major path ways. Everywhere else is just grass/dirt/pond/etc.
* Look at pictures of castles, whether real-life castles, or ones from story books or games. Look at the architecture of them, and look for major elements that are in them. Then create a Graal castle.

I hope that helps! :)

The castle looks good, but like the others said it needs to be expanded. You may want to add other stuff around and on it to make it seem more like a castle. (statues, etc)

Okay, i updated the courtyard, i don't have any statue images/characters yet, so nothing on those things, well, what do you say?

The castle has no depth or deatil.

The walls are to plan, and boring. If you have a wall and you look at the view graal looks at things, whats right behind the wall you cannot see. Like when you had the path in the court yard the outside tiles went all around.. yet at the bottem near the wall you should continue with the inside of the path tiles. (hrm make sense?) Or if you are going to have a garden, make it neat with hedges and flower etc. Also if you put things close to the wall, you can make them half behind the wall and half showing.. which gives it that depth of saying its a high wall.

Those gray tile restrict you alot I think, the goldie brown ones are the best. I agree that a castle needs to be about 4 level big, with each corner having it's wing. and a court yard.
