Horrible tiling in spots.

I've caught two graphic problems which I will notify staff on my global gfx team tag.

Also, so much open space...jesus I can build an empire in the empty space.

Chicken graphic. I DO believe Stefan banned the use of this chicken. The way it is being used where you slash it and it cawks at you does remind me of a certain RPG.

yet another highly hoped for server that was highly overrated, guess I was right that I would be more disgusted than impressed

It's clearly obvious that those are bugs and not tiling errors. I mean, I don't understand why there are still bugs on this server even though it's been up about 2 months to fix them, but I still not understanding why everyone has to go bash servers in a 5 minute review.

Clearly for some of you no server will EVER please you or meet your expectations, you've been filling yourself with hot air for a long time and it's time to stop. Maybe we should put up all the servers that miserably failed the PW test to compare them to those that have passed, and then you can tell me some of the stuff you've seen is garbage. I don't think Stefan or Unixmad would be pleased to see absolutely no growth and development to the game if we all held some peoples expectations around here.

By the way, and I mean this in the most sincere way, to whoever works on these super promising servers.. well.. okay, Graal 2230. Look, I'm not bashing you or anything, but you talk about all these super cool this and super cool that, but the fact is that there has been barely any development on that server for the longest time. You talk about how these servers are terrible, but the only defence you have is to promise the players that they will "soon" experience the most wonderful server of all time with 400+ players etc. By the time you get done, Graal will either be gone, or the standards will have raised so much that no one will care anymore. I know Jagen works hard, he has showed me some cool things but he can't do it all alone. Your server will most certainly fail and be the biggest upset Graal has ever seen if you don't get your act together.

What funny is.. Months and months ago i worked there. I quit and i told them im not working for a server that steals scripts. Everything was stolen. I warned Nemesis but i guess my word wasnt good enoghn. Half the stuff still had //NPC By Stefan blah blah. lol

Aftershock ever since I played Graal2k1 I had that high expection. Not just because I'm making super cools.

As for Graal2230 production. Its kinda hard to snag somone who will help with 2230 graphics and who won't leave in a week and aswell as work for free. Ask for NPCs, Jagen is free to hire whoever he needs to help him out with. I can't truely hire someone for npcs because I'm completely dumb on whats a good script and a bad one.

Why do a I "promise" super cools? Because I have that high expection, I'm striving to be the best.

Yeah, but right now all Graal 2230 is is just a concept. There is nothing more on that playerworld than just a big concept, and it's not helping. How long has 2230 been up? A year? What do you have done? :(

And would someone be so kind as to list some playerworlds that are better than Renegade in terms of quality. Please support your statement with some evidence.

It is next to impossible to find good help now, especially for graphics and scripting

It's a little hard to review for bugs offline, especially when there is no NPC server, consider that. Also, the fact that they were "hacked" a few times didn't help either, I had no control of the server once it was online and in private

You don't understand how things work, which is why I loathe aguing with you.

These days, everyone is working on things for the NPC server. It would be much easier if people could just rent out a playerworld or borrow it temporarily where they do their scripts there, thnen they don't have to convert. Unfortunately, Stefan and Unixmad probably don't even know what the PWA is or think it's a bad idea. So, when you review offline, you're assuming these bugs and scripts will be worked out online. That's the reason why Stefan puts the servers up. Server goes up, server team fixes and converts, release when done. It should only take a few weeks. There is no possible way for me or anyone else except Stefan or Unixmad to supervize the progress between when it goes up and when it's released. If they wanted to, they could re-do the whole damn server starting with a new overworld of they liked (which is actually what renegade wanted to do, re-do the OW and make a gmap) and we just sit there.

This is the way things are. Accept it.

Renegade isnt that bad, its just got some missplaces tiles. And i think i am the same thing as Ghost Pirate, i want to be the best in everything, but i dont think its possible in Graal now a days.

Maloria is not that bad server anymore... It's a very cool and enjoyable server right now... But the problem is that the majority of people don't go there because they still think it sux...

Anyway, our Playercount is evoluting every day....

I totally agree with the lack of good staff. I've had close to half a dozen people "work" on Oasis with me, and none of them have lasted over a week or two except Falados, and he really only does things when he is in the mood, wearing his lucky shoes, on a full stomache, with nothing else to do. (meaning he rarely seems to have time to help)

Money does not stop you from being lazy. People that don't own the playerworld just don't care if it makes progress, and the people that do care, usually don't have the talent needed. I never planned on scripting most of the stuff for Oasis myself but I'm being forced to, as I have no other alternative. I've had 3 of the best scripters on Graal and progress is still painstakingly slow.

However, I'm greatful for Kaimetsu, Loriel, and Falados, for the scripting they DID provide. I just feel there is a lack of effort/dedication from people and that they give up when there isn't instant gratification. Nearly all the people that have worked for Oasis, now work for Era. Why? Because all of the sudden, Era is online, with tons of people, and it's popular, so bye bye Oasis with a private server and no people, and hello popularity and praise. :(

I'm sure you won't believe me, but I'm not scripting Era's cars for the praise. If I just wanted praise then I'd stick to making eye candy like this thing. I wouldn't have even considered scripting this thing for them if I didn't think it was an interesting project.

Yes. But you seemed to forgot one thing. Me Delph and Chrisz. Worked day and night to get era on the server list. Its not like wow era Lets all help out. No one would help out. So we all fought to make era fun and I could only hope Popular. Now Im very happy to seen people Like Kai,Birdbird,Zorg and many others helping era. Maybe it is because they get praise. Then so be it.

But alot of hard work went into era before they came along.Era was the only playerworld on graal that have let people played while it was private.

Why? Cause we wanted people to enjoy what we spent countless hours making. I have nothing against you or your Playerworld.

But dont moan and complain about not having staff anymore. Your the one that wanted to do Oasis all by your self.
Making a *good* Playerworld takes alot of work.

Oasis = r0x0rz from what ive seen
Era = r0x0rz but there's a little too much Staff showing off NPCs and crap >_< not to mention that only one guild (Black Holst) is getting discounts on weapons..

O.o.. the staff help out THEIR guilds and thats it :(
