Advanced Graal Animations (Ganis)
Add the image into the gani instead of also having to uploaded the the server.
|
could be done.. but then ganis would be a larger & take longer to load
|
What would be the point?
|
This would be kinda useless...
A gani is just a text document with a different extension. I'm not a programmer but I think it would be a pain attaching images to file. Especially on-the-fly with GraalShop. |

I smell an animator who doesn't have enough RC rights to do his job and can't convince other staff to upload graphics for him....

I don't think you understand the point of ganis. If you put the image in the gani file then you lose all the benefits of independent objects. Multiple linkings, simple updating etc.

Why did you give us that? Are you trying to proove something? |

hirer? *wonders what that means*
yea ganis are meant to be able to be used with more than one graphic.... forcing images would defeat the purpous of a gani.. you could just use an mng instead |
The main problem is that ganis are textfiles, while mngs (pngs, jngs) are binary files.
|
there is a problem with that?
|
It would be possible to put images into the gani file, encoded like the tiles in .nw level files. Some image file formats used by painting programs do that. But I don't see big advantages of that, it's easier to manage when the pixel informations (png, mng, gif) are separated from the sprite positioning code (gani).
|
Leave it all alone it's all just fine the way it is >=(
