If you don't want to read all of this, please at least skim it. This is an important problem in Graal Kingdoms.

I don't even think asking for a restore is worth it. What's the point?

I was assaulted by Jasen of Dustari. I did nothing to him. To top it off, Samurai and Dustari are allied.

He managed to kill me twice. I couldn't do a thing. I have great and powerful spells, but they were useless. I would try to cast, and he'd slash at me, cancelling the spell. I can't use weapons, because I worship Brigid. I have a damage+2 ring along with karate, so my max damage, with the strength spell, is about 11. That was nothing compared to his flaming sword .. which he obviously used IWD on.

I won't ask for a restore. I'll go pray for my stats back, then I'll go kill monsters for hours upon hours again. Whoop-dee-friggin'-doo.

Now, if you were to check my profile, it would say that I am a thief. Hahah, if that were true, I would have had a chance against him .. maybe. I'm a priest, but because I was a thief before I got restored last, it carried over (which I don't mind, I have the stealing skill anyway).

Bah .. let me make this simple..

Non-melee players can not defend themselves. Period.

My only chance was to run away, or disconnect. I wouldn't disconnect, because I was RPing .. and that's horribly OOC.

Tell me this .. why would a General of Dustari attack a lowly Samurai Ninja without being provoked? I was in the second room of the Tanarthian haunted house casting bombs on the monsters. He showed up, and started watching me. Within a minute, he was chasing me, slashing me with his sword. I tried to fight back. I tried casting a bomb, but he stopped me. I managed to cast a frostbolt, but he obviously dodged it. My melee attacks couldn't hurt him .. and after a while I couldn't even attack with melee .. it stopped working for some reason.

I don't remember the details, but he managed to kill me, in that first monster-less room of the house. Then I was outside .. with some lost stats .. and my stat-boost spells gone. I tried to flee .. and I got to some water .. and then he cast small lightning on me. I couldn't get away. I died.

So .. that's about 50,000 experience .. days and days of work .. gone. Gone within a few moments.

Y'know, I truly thought that having a max of 91HP (with con spell) and being level 9 would be enough. I really really did. I suppose not. I guess that they felt that wasn't enough.

Stefan .. Unix .. whoever it is that can actually fix this .. do you know how it feels to lose hours of work?

Yes, this is a game, but let me give you a point that you can't deny the verity of:

Graal may not be real, but the time we spend playing it is.

Stefan .. do you realize this? You have people wasting their lives to play your imperfect game .. and you are adding things that are trivial in comparison to these sorts of problems. Why can't you focus on the true problems? Ferries are nice .. castle insides are great .. but .. those things don't affect us as much as this does.

Yeah, I suppose I am addicted to this game, to an extent. A lot of us are. Even those who aren't .. they feel this just as much. How is level nine not enough for battle mode? I can destroy 10 dievils with my bare hands without having to use a healing prayer. Doesn't that say anything? I suppose not.

It all boils down to this .. if you aren't a barbarian, and you don't have a fully IWD'ed weapon .. you shouldn't go into battle mode.

Battle mode is nothing more than the barbarian's playground. It's very sad.

I'm going to take a guess now.

Within two weeks .. nothing will have changed (regarding this problem). I'd even be willing to BET on that.

I'm not even going to use sarcasm. This game just isn't well made. Don't tell me it's still Beta or something like that, either. When you Beta test, the users help you find problems, and then you fix those problems. This hasn't been fixed. I even brought this problem up once, a long time ago. It obviously is still the same.

So .. here's the jist of it:

• Those who don't use weapons should never enter battle mode (unless they can run faster than Shrimp)
• Non-melee users cannot defend themselves from weapon-users under any circumstances

Wow. I didn't realize it was that simple. Hmm .. maybe I should go back and lengthen the list ----

OH, WELL. HERE'S AN UPDATE:

While praying at Brigid's altar for my stats to be restored, Jasen, WHILE ON DUSTARI TAG (before he was on some "Guardia" tag) KILLED ME.

Hahahahah. Isn't this just hilarious? I was sitting here, going between praying and typing this post, and he runs up to me (God knows why) ----

Oh. Here's another. Littlekings420 (Thanatos) just killed me with Cause Critical Wounds of Govannon. --- and he just tried to do it again ..

.. I swam up onto the beach, and cast a large bullet at him .. of course it did nothing. I'm just angry. I started kicking him .. and he killed me with his naginata. He just found me in the dungeon, and tried killing me again .. fortunately .. I was able to unstick .. so now I'm waiting in the post office for another death. Let's see .. that's 100,000 experience points gone. Gone .. all within an hour.

Complaining isn't going to get anyone anywhere. You got killed because you were weaker than the other guy. Simple as that. You can't complain about getting killed by a guy with superior power, speed, and a better weapon.

It was your choice to worship Brigid, it was your choice to be a priest. Obviously priests aren't going to have mega1337 attack power... They are priests for crying out loud.

Oh, right.

Go waste hundreds of hours of your life, put yourself in my situation, and then tell me how fair this is. Go ahead.

EXp should be lowered stat loss should be taken out.

Spells shouldn't be canceled, the spell system should be changed like how the new magic bullet works it should be like that all spells should be like that.

No more storms of lag.

More like fire balls and ice balls and lightning balls and acid balls. These would effect better in fighting and would be alot better...

My friend told me he informed Brad of this .. I PMed Brad asking him what action would be taken, and he didn't reply.

I feel your pain man, I do. Here is what happened to me.


I was just running around killing T-Rex's and Mishato (accont name) comes up and just tries to kill me. I have 2 ring of thieves so I usually have about 3.266 speed, but I also have a bad connection, so I usually lag pretty bad. Anyways, he chases me trying to kill me, I usually could get a few spells off because of my speed, but it didn't help anything. So I just run to water. Then he just sits there telling me that I'm a ***** because I wont fight. This goes on for a good time (just as Chibi). Finally he logs off and I just go about my business and go to Tanarthia to look for spells I don't have (which is pretty much a waste of time anyways :)). Anyways, I use my 2 charm+2 rings, which takes me down to about 1.3~1.5 speed. Then my computer starts to lag extremely bad so I restart and then log back on and while loading all the scripts, he runs up and I try to run away, but I didn't have my ring of thieves on, so I die. Didn't bother me much since I only lost about 35,000 exp. After that he couldn't catch me, but that didn't stop his ruthless assault on me. Calling me a wimp, a *****, a ***got, and anything you could think of. Off the topic, but why does it make me any of the prior because I don't want to lose experience that took me hours to get? Over the next few days, whenever I was on he would do the same. Chase me, try to kill me while calling me names. One time I was in Bogenera and he come in, chasing me around the around the store (I love my rings :)). Finally, Chibi trapped me in between some tables so he couldn't reach me. He tried for atleast 20 minutes trying to get in and kill me, but to no avail. Then he says, I have better things to do and that he has a life and logs off. After a few more days of dodging him, he catches me in Santerrain with my charm rings on and he kills me and I get warped to the docks by Hirathia and he runs up and kills me again. O well, I went from about 920,000 exp to around 812,000, in less that 45 seconds. Is this fair? So I report this action to the Shogun and he orders all possible Samurai after Mishato. Finally someone kills him and before he can be again, he goes to peaceful mode. :D So I finally get back up to 900,000 exp (actually right now I have about 1,080,000 exp). So I'm happy and content.


But I do believe there should be some form of balance in battle mode.

I don't think this is a game issue.

I think this is more of a player to player issue.

People should attempt to get along more, and stick to more of a role playing environment.

Graal Kingdoms is a role playing server correct?

He told me because no Samurai liked him and he got kicked from the kingdom twice. Now how am I suppose to deal with this? I never even knew him before this all happened.

Also, this is nothing of importance, but I actually have him on my buddy list because he never has the same name so if I see a name I don't recognize, I'll know to be on the look out.

Peaceful mode.

I was in peaceful mode up until level nine.

Look .. if things were balanced, I may have actually been able to fight this person. Yet, because all the changes we see are in things that will affect us very little .. :\

Obviously konidias is right you ****ing *****. I am a priest on battle level 9 also and I am fine. Stop crying. We aren't supposed to be strong, but we get along.

Absolutely nothing .. still one of my favourite games. I just searched my memory for an old game that wasn't as profound as GK and this was what first came to mind.

Please read your original post. The GENERAL OF DUSTARI attacked me when leveling. Unless I'm dillusional, I am the general, aren't I? And why would I care? All you do is piss and moan on the forums about how graal sucks and you can't do anything right. I don't care and I'm sure others don't either.
