I decided to make a level for fun and to get used to tiling again. :) It took me a few hours do to that river ;x trying to find all these odd tiles took forever. I know I need to work on grass tiling more. But like I said I was doing it for fun and got bored. :) My main thing is the river tried to do something new and I dont think its been done before. Kind of like summer time when rivers dry up or so.

edit: also there are some graphics but its a level shot not a screen shot so you cant see them. So the little thing infront of the house is a fire with smoke :P

yea grass detail you do need to work on but i'm not gonna say anything about it coz u said you were focusing on the river so i'll just put my opinion on that.

I think the river actually looks VERY nice. It's a nice new style i haven't seen before at all and you did a great job on getting that dried up river type look. Good job on the river ;)

Damn, I never have nor though I'd see a level like this, some bits are GREAT and some bits are not that good.

River:
Nice Nice Nice, this is being used alot latly, but if you can do it at the start of your level making time, then I'd carry on as you probably got what it takes. This is great. But a few tile erros on the cliffs, mostly near the bridge.

Bridge:
This is nice, and done very profesionally. And fits in very well with the river which makes it look nice and fit together well!

Grass:
Well this is where you slide, the detail on the grass is.. well.. dull. I know that your new at this so thats ok, however, you have made a very good try at it with the long grass and swamps, and the trees are brilliant and fit together very well. The paths up to the house and bridge are good and not tacky path gen, and if it is, you have atleast edited it.

House:
Not much to say here, its intresting, Im not so sure I'd ever do that, but I suppose its ok and doesnt look very bad.

Suggestions:

-More detail on the grass

-Maybe use the ''Chimney House'' and make a house from bits of that instead of them poles/stakes.

-It may be abit out of your reach, but stick with this level and use the tiles that you used for the rive to make a pool of water on the right and put a waterfall connecting into the river.

-Add some more things, maybe houses, trees, water, rocks etc..

Originality: 5/10

This is an intresting level, I like the idea of the river in the middle, as I havent seen that much as most people make them rivers or big ponds, and it works well as the river!

Sparks Rating: 4.5/10 + 7/10

This rating is overall rating not a begginer rating, you got let down on all of the grass and the house.
Other wise the begginer rating it good, the river is great, and I suggest you carry on improving this level until it is fully complete and 100% nice.

lol I'm not new :P just havnt done it in about 6 months or longer. The cliff tiling isnt so much errors as lack of tiles. Its also why if you look it always goes up and left and never any other direction. Yea I know I really slacked off on the grass but I got bored and just sort of rushed through it. I might redo it later if I feel like doing something for fun. But the only thing I really tried on was the river. ;x But thanks for the heads up make me feel all special. :D *beats the warm fuzzy feeling down with a stick* ;)

Although grass tiles are my weakest area.
I can still do better than I did. But they're
so boring to me. ;x
