Random Alchemy

I suggest that this random alchemy thing should be removed. Something is possibly wrong when people run around frantically searching for negative-stat items... these "alchemists" should have to progress by buying and learning recipes, just like the rest of us. And there is, I believe, a bug in the process which allows for inhuman amounts of Mental exp to be gained. This is hardly fair to those of us who role-play......

Yes, i agree COMPLETELY

It's not a bug, it was just never planned to get a cauldron at over +3, let alone +120 :o well, I guess you could consider it one.

In my opinion...you should have to read a recipe to use it...either that or you must reach a certain level (and above of course) to use it and completely remove random makings. Also...how do you get + cauldrons!?

You do alchemy on one cauldron for about... uh 4+ hours :o

Yeah, alchemy should be changed, so that you need to read the recipe in order to formulate it. I mean actual alchemy usually required a spell or something to make the stuff work. Not just tossing a couple gold nuggets and a chicken in a pot and waving a wand to make golden chickens.

Ok the random items and artifacts when failing have been removed, unbalancing the game too much.

"Well Stefan, remove the Alchmey items people made because it was kinda an unfair advantage to them? Well, I guess then you would have to takes Zens Mental EXP to Exploiding a bug, and then everyone elses who abused Cauldron bugs and etc... oh well :O"

He has a point though. I don't play GK much anymore because it sickens me. I work HARD to gain 3 mil EXP (probably first to get it legitamately) and others just sit down in a level with a cauldron +127 and gain level 30!?! (well not exactly 30 but you get the idea). Mostly Samurai abused the bug since the one with the cauldron +127 IS in Samurai. I even asked one of the Samurai and he admitted to using the cauldron 2 times (now you may think, 2 times, that's not a lot!) well guess what, you gain 500,000 EXP EACH time you use it so he gained 1 mil EXP ILLEGALLY. Nothing was done to Zen and probably nothing will happen to him. I'm disgusted with the players I thought wouldn't abuse bugs but they did..it's really sad :\

...and then did the Alchemist agree to
make me my potion. First he called to
his grimm servants who hauld forth a
great iron cauldron. Into this black
device did he deposit his ingredients
and, opening his spell book for refer-
ence, then did he cast his spell of
alchemy therepon the cauldron.
Greatly did the tub shake and move!
I thought that the Alchemist had broke
his device, but he chuckled at my ig-
norance. Into the cauldron did he reach
an brought forth a filled bottle of
golden amber fluid...

stefan knows this and should make the process like the above

That rox... is it original? Or copied from someplace? If it's copied, I wanna see the rest. :D

I think the random artifacts should be put back untill all the recipies one can buy work!!! BARELY ANY OF THEM WORK!

besides, if you can throw things into a pot and messup in a positive way because your stupid, then why not take away the advantages of the people who sit at a temple for 3 hours and get unreasonable abilitied?

TerrorBite 01-02-2003 12:26 PM

I think that quote is from the manual of charkrabarti or howerver you spell it.. read it recently out of boredom ^.^
