Spells- and how they are bad

Well really I think this.
The spells right now blow and they lag.
All spells should be like magic bullet.
Lets say for instance
a spell called Fire Ball, take out all the others.
a Small Fire Ball would be a small fireball graphics hurdling toward the direction you chose.

Medium would be bigger and would do more damage Big fire ball would be alot more damage and alot bigger.

etc. etc
Ice Bolt same thing all spells.. should be all like this , it creates LESS lag, and creates better PvP vs players and it isnt cheap.

I don't think you know what you're talking about. Which spells currently cause too much lag? And I'm talking about lag inherent to the effect, not lag that could be solved with another coding method.

Bad things about spells...
1. Lag
2. Casting speed
3. Targeting
4. Ineffectiveness

Kai, go on GK and use SnowStorm or Icestorm, then come back and amit defeat.

Large Snowstorm... or 4 bullet storms

zell12 12-22-2002 08:27 AM

Large manaball and steambolt used to be really laggy as well.
Hmm... Create bomb lags like hell now too. x.x

TheFrozenFiend 12-22-2002 07:13 PM

Ive never noticed any bad lag.
But the fact that if the person you are trying to hit knows how to move then you have no chance of hitting them is annoying.

AlexH 12-22-2002 07:15 PM

When I cast any of the spells like snowstorm etc I don't get any lag. Although when other people do I suffer a little.
not enough to make me complain about it though.

And one of the advantages to using spells is that they can hurt numerous monsters at one time. So taking that out would really be a bad idea.

Spells cast too slow. Expecially the spell "slow". -_-

Excalibur, how do expect to form a competent reply when you don't understand my original message? You can't just ignore parts with words that are too long for you, or you simply don't get the whole meaning of the post. Try extra hard for me and try to comprehend what I meant when I said "I'm talking about lag inherent to the effect".

I don't like reading here. Most of the people give me bad hbbits with the way they write. e.e So now, I have a bad time. :P

Anyway, All of the spells lag just about, some more then others.

Be a wizard/priest for a day. Then you'll understand better.

Don't make things worse for us when you don't know how it is.

ROFLMAO
I have been a priest/ wizard MANY times, NUMEROUS times. I have another account that is a sorcerer, and we blow!
