Diamondback Peak Update Thread
This where we will be posting updates such as graphics/levels/ideas/systems. We will need your voice to help us come through with ideas as well as okay them.
Here is how I think I will setup the whole class feature. I had an idea.. In the beginning you are given a small 10 question quiz. Your answers determine which class you are put into. Classes don't mean much in DP except for 1-3 skills given to each. There are 4 classes...Native (Indian),Cowboy,Bandit, and Neutral. The natives will be masters of low intelligence melee and missile weapons. For example, the native can throw a tomahawk and deal 10 hitpoints damage, while if the cowboy attempts to meet this, he would do close to 4 hitpoints in damage. The Cowboys will focus on guns and possibly a lasso of some sort. The bandit will focus more on the pistol, crowbar, and may have a slight increase in speed. The "neutral" class will be a balance between all classes. For example... Tomahawk Damage: Native - 10. Cowboy - 4-6. Bandit - 4-6. Neutral - 6-8. They will have a wide array of talents and will be for the average player... Just my ideas for the starting system. Later today I may post some tile updates... |

Yeah, well I also think Brads server progress is quite planned, taking each of the three phases, one at a time (GFX, Scripting, Levels) :D.

Brad you always have good ideas, but many fail (kingdoms on 2001).
But this just has a different feel to it, and with the help you have already it sounds great. Good Luck Brad. |

A basic house in a city you would see...possible where Jack Klinely comes home after a long day at the stables...keep in mind deck furniture is being worked on as well as many add ons for buildings...just a basic design.

It should be much bigger, and be a little more detailed. |

A graalian hardly could fit through this door.
And making your body smaller than a Graalian one is not good, I think. It just looks dwarvish. |
The tiles look neat, but shouldn't the theme be more wild west insparational ?(wooden houses, salloons all the way heh :)).

Yuck. I think it's way too small...And, for the most part, I agree with Loriel. |
i like it alot, but it does seem a bit small.
|
that kinda looks like that desert house from tritan...
|
Quote:
Never saw anything on tritan..:/ Also, will make it larger..also Toran..the only thing you don't like is the size...or..? |

That is all. |

Please, also put Mexican Banditos in this playerworld. :)
You can use this clay adobe style house, if you want. It'd suit any Banditos too. http://www.ebw.ca/anatolia/adobesample.gif |
i think its nice, but yes, needs to be larger, :)
|
Agrees with a lot of people... bigger.
Anyway, it's a great start :). |

Everyone who thinks it needs to be bigger dun worry, I made it small in the picture, but YES the roof, etc can be EXPANDED as big as you please. Also, The door is just a test and I can easily make bigger. I know it's small, but it CAN be way bigger then that.
|
It is reassuring to see that some creditable personal are compiling their skills to create a playerworld.
