Horsies!!! (Or ponys)
I really think we need Horses!
Its getting harder and harder to get from place to place now adays. People are more into training and going back and fourth. We need to be able to go faster, and more smootly. Thats why I think we need horses! We could make it so there is a stable house, and some NPC dude, but there are multiple ponys to chose from. like White Black Brown Red And you buy one for like 200 plat. You buy the horse, and it comes with reigns. You can steer the horse/pony with the reigns on foot, and you need to buy a saddle from a local store to actualy ride the horse/pony. You can right click the horse to see how tame it is, and how much weight it can hold. ((Newly bought pony's cant be ridden untill they get more used to you, and gain more experience with walking around etc)) But after you train your horse a little with steering it with your reigns, u buy a saddle, and u can ride it! Now there is also Riding exp, so your horse will not always obey you. But once you master all the levels, you can ride around on your horse/pony. There are diff types of saddles, some are more confortable than others, stiff and uncomfortable ones make you slow after getting off the horse for a while. Comfy ones let you recover quicker. You have to stop and let your horse chew on grass, and rest it every now and then to make sure it doesnt get over exhasted ((over exhausting your horse makes it not like you as much x_x)) and you can get sack add ons for your horse/pony so you can carry heavy items long distances. My last idea for horses is memory. You can program your horse to remember like 3 locations on where u saved them at like by saying /memory save [1,2,3] after u tame it and so you get on and say /memory go [1,2,3] those are my ideas! PLEASE RESPOND on any ideas |

Oh, sounds kewl. Really good I dea, I hope they do add horses.

or maby they should add a more original looking animal? kinda like the chocobos from final fantasy, but not chocobos. Also, there could be different kinds of this animal that can only be found via breeding. lol, maby they can have a "dog house" like attachment for player houses... or stables for playerhouses to have added to them.

I never realy got to see what the pets do =P
maby they could restore the pets and make it so you can ride them? |

Anyway, Stefan had said that they wouldn't be out again until a feeder was out to be put in houses so they could be okay when you logged off. |
Horses will come soon.

The riding-big-birds thing has been around longer than most FF fans realize. Swiss Family Robinson had the kids riding ostriches. I want to ride a wolf... :megaeek: |
Better idea:
Rodeo skill. Requires an equipped rope weapon. Like oratory/leadership, controls certain monsters - but in such a way that the player rides the monster. With nested ganis it'd be trivial to make it...a newbie rodeo'er could ride a bunny. A middling rodeo'er could lasso a Smoky, Dievil or Heavil, and use its attack while riding it - see also Golden Axe Warriors, if you remember that game. An expert could ride even a T-Rex. All attacks directed at the player attack their mount until it is dead. |

Dang straight...I could probably even make the ganis in about a minute. Might have to make 3 sets for the 3 different sizes...but then again, maybe not, maybe you could just fiddle with the playerZ so it's just sitting with the mount gani placed under the player. In that case you could do it all in exactly 1 gani, and pass in which gani the mount should be using; idle, walk, attack, hurt...
The scripting would be the hard part I suppose, particularly if they wanted the monster to cease to exist when captured then have the player effectively breathing slow-gas...but not so difficult if the player is effectively paused and their commands pass to controlling their ride... |
awsome ideas
