Graal Community Photo Album
 

I think it would be cool if you added a link on the graalonline.com page which says "Community Album" or something similar. There should then have an e-mail address moderated by Stefan or who-ever handles updates for the site where players can submit their pics. The guy who handles the site can then make a link using html with the players account name and when clicked on loads the pic on the area of the site it was uploaded. This would prevent all those frequent "graalian pics" and "who do you look like?" threads and make it easier for you to see what your graalian friends look like XD

You think Stefan has the time to keep updating photos and information everytime it changed for thousands of people!? When he is too busy to keep the information for about 20PWs uptodate!? I dont think he will, and about hiring someone to do it. lets not! Instead why not suggest in the profile they add a new part such as.... About me: and you stick a URL. that way if people wish to show off there photos and information they can do it that way. Also dont forget the ammount of space it would take to host all the files for all the people. And people will do what they do with the news, and submit stupid things, such as a picture of a Pig drinking Pepsi!

Why invite porn?

That way, many graalians can sit and giggle at it.

on another note, i don't think more than 50 people got pics =/ have you looked at those "Graalian pics" threads? it also doesn't have to be updates very often...maybe just once a month or somethin.

You said it your self! And if the player decided to quit or go corrupt he may upload porn or stupid images! So its not worth it and high admins haven't got the time I don't think, unless one replies and says otherwise! And more people would add photos if it was on the website than just in a thread. And alot of people only use the forums for one thing such as 2002 area, so may not see photo thread but may add photo if given the chance. Its a good idea, but maybe too much work!

dude that's just like saying "no! don't give LATs RC cause one day they will go currupt and erase all the levels on the server" and i really don't think its that much work =/
also..."stefan or whoever" indicates that its not necessarily stefan f00 =P

I suggested making a user photo gallery to unixmad a while ago... the website is being remade, so maybe it can be added.

simple php script, plus if anything offensive is upped simple ip ban from uping... if it continues you just call up the isp and it will be resolved easily

delteria.net has tons of images uploaded constantly, it uses a total of about 100mb for images... I am sure it would take quite a while to fill it up :)

hotlink protection is a must though...

I somehow thing MOST people would be doing other stuff with the new found porn, then giggling at it. :megaeek:

If you guys want a community photo album, make one as a fan site. Due to legal issues and all, a photo album on any official site would never happen. If you guys really want one, email me showing support and I'll throw one together

If the person submits the picture via the website (like submitting media for screenshot archive) Then the picture is put up, I don't see a problem. If somebody decides they don't want their picture up, then it would be removed. There are tons of "rate my pic" sites on the net, how would it be illegal to have a photo gallery of members? Even big online games do conventions and take pictures... is that illegal? :P

i got tons o' good pics for the photo album.. good old sanstrata pics! OLD classic pics.. i think i have some old val pics too.. i know i have some providence..

Wonderboy...you got REALLY bad interpretation dude...we are talking about "real" pictures of players.

There's already a photo album of in-game pics
