My diamond blade "is not a weapon"

I try launching my diamond blade through the quick launch weapon bar but when I double click it, it says "this isn't a weapon". I've tried dropping it and everythig else, but it doesn't work. any idea why?

Have you used animate weapon recently.... thats what happened to me... also... Crovax_Dark_Lord's Flaming Sword +1 is now Crovax_Dark_Lord's Flaming Sword, I don't know why...

My bronze warrior helm +1 and horned shield+1 lost their +1s too :(
