Out of intrest I never knew how, How did they make RC's before when they had FTP and didnt just add rights and the account name to

staff= in server options!

Just wondered how they added the RC's eg:

Bravo_GP1

Old RCs had to have their adminworld set.

And rights and IPs added, obviously. But there wasn't staff=, so basically you had to have your account set to a particular adminworld (all, newmain, bravo, etc.) so that you could connect.

And then you had to put in the address of the server (usually a certain domain name) plus the proper port number, and your account name and pass, and you connected.

Old RC had no server browser. :)

There was a IP text file on the server , rights were done on the account much like it is done now , the rest is like what ZanderX posted.

Back then we had FTP, it was great :O
Now we got a ghey File Browser that is connected to the RC so we got to login to do work ;X

Around a year and a half ago, there were no rights, just levels. Level 1 was warpto, 2 had like warp players, 3 had open attributes and ban, and 4 had set accounts.

Stefan then made a right system for RC. PW accounts were made by the Account Admin (Like Delteria_GP1) and given to the owner who could change the password and set the level/right. To have FTP, you would have to have a FTP browser such as cute FTP or run it off of internet explorer.

Yep... Though I never had a chance to get RC when Mithica came out when I was staff because Kerin would keep banning me and firing me for no reason. So I never got to experance that era before the rights system.

FTP was easy to hack then.

Nowadays you'd have to go through the trouble of either bruteforcing their pass which is just lame to an extreme or hacking someone with an rc.

your right it hasn't changed at all , you still can.

Of course you still can. I was referring to when there were no setsword, setshield etc. commands.
